Sure. Well, firstly I wanted to participate with less conventional base. I was brainstorming ideas like an Altaria/Exeggutor for a Fortree City theme. And then I just hit me for the Giratina/Distortion World theme. I thought of Gastly first but then switched to Spiritomb cause it had a more clear face to make the floating islands. And to be honest I was working at in the morning the day I did the sprite and I was trying to make it on my mind. Then when I got home I started with all the ideas I had to that point.

How does the event voting work

Is it like, the judges choose x amount of sprites for polls, then they get eliminated every round.

they review the sprite and vote from 0-5, then all their votes are added together and the highest scoring wins

if there's a tie for highest score then both wins

the last judge vote they share the google sheet with all the sprite and what the scoring are so we could see, they also have notes you could review on what the judge feel is missing from the sprite (or they could put funny comment as well)

Each judge also has their own individual preferences and biases.
Like some judge references too harshly (Not applicable for this event or else hell shall rain fire on that judge)
Some judges don't care abt SFX, or even outright dislike it
Some judges are very adamant about the fusion having to actually look like a fusion (likely less strict given the nature of this event)
So on and so forth

porygon-z + arceus as a reference to one of my earliest memories of my first pokemon game, soul silver. little me was a gremlin and loved doing the 'get free pokemon on the gts trick' (in retrospect, i think baby me was stealing genned pokemon out from under people... whoops) trying to get deoxys, and i literally did a lap around the house excited out of my mind when i got an arceus from it

Another concept and was a painful part of my childhood. Any pokemon + PorygonZ
A save file is corrupted or lost type of sprite. Whatever Pokemon u choose can be holding up the textbox, and be distorted from PorygonZ
The Pokemon can be the version's mascot, a starter, or even just your fav Pokemon (RIP my Shiny Ampharos from Gold version)
