idk, I guess I'm just bothered cause it feels like some people are trying to act like none of the concerns here were reasonable, when a few people got pretty screwed by the inconsistency and almost all of the... pretty minor and civil outcry that occurred in here was about those 3-4 edge cases. I don't remember anyone going against the decision for like, that gengar/haunter by Nozu, or the fire in Magmar/Magmortar's arm cannon. The decisions people had issues with were ones that either went against the previously communicated ruling (in the case of Pix's for example, where TOS said explicitly that it was okay), or that went against what the majority of participants and even non-participant server members would have assumed special effects included (in the case of Anslee's or Lumiosa's for example, where most people would not assume something that still came to a cohesive whole having a few extra heads... technically, would immediately disqualify it).

And I just kinda don't appreciate that we're trying to turn the narrative away. From what I saw, problem was dealt with, people were pretty respectful, there were effectively no insults thrown around, and even the contest managers dealt with it (once they realized their interpretation was not the majority and where the miscommunication had taken place) with grace. So I'm confused why we're now coming back and acting like the whole situation was pedantics.

Personally why I tend to err away from adding FX to my sprites in general! Other than me thinking it would be a bit much to my liking - It's way too easy to make fire effect go brrrrrr even if I have so much fun making fire
It makes me go "how ELSE can I convey the element or expression of this Pokémon? Do I need to do a different pose?"
I like challenging myself in these ways but I'm just extra like that

I was not critiquing everyone, and I was well aware everyone involved was making a joke. I just wanted to clarify a small point about the idea of they/them being safe for everyone, cause I've absolutely dealt with people calling me they/them instead of she/her intentionally before. I wasn't critiquing anyone. And then people for some reason thought I was against they/them pronouns in general.
