But, I just made another sprite, which, while I didn't use every eligible mon, I did use every starter.

i don't think i have the energy to try to screw with the hand again after doing it twice to try to make it really nice...

it's not super huge or anything, but it also isn't a 1:1 match and i'm quite scared and quite exhausted

i dont know how to show it but my yamask/larvesta is way bigger than regular larvesta because of the hands

so i might get in trouble for kaiju sized

It’s Gastly size + Giant Hat, beak and energy

But it does look really big

Kaiju is really the base of the sprite being too large, and I don't think it applies to cases where added hands/tails exist or self fusions being slightly bigger.

so gimmicks don't work anymore

I don't know what to tell you sitten. I usually at most have 3 threads active, and work until I close those three before moving on to my next sprites. But then again, I do have a fairly quick turnaround on my sprites, since I've gotten practiced in my style.

Good luck with the 25 threads. I can barely remember which sprites I'm working on if it goes on for longer than a day.

Which begs the question... Did I forget a sprite I was working on?

I usually wait for some feedback, then let it stew for 24 hours, but these are contest sprites, and I don't want to be rushing to get them in before deadline.

That would be a problem. Well, the /feedbackpls has been a big help for me, but it can't fix everything. Hopefully you'll gain confidence in your sprites as you get more practiced.

Okay, 42 sprites made, I think I'm going to be done for the contest. I do have 3 alts, but that's fine, I'm not too worried.

Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn’t. I’m getting afraid i might be coming off as abrasive when I respond to feedback 😓

It happens. Even I've gotten defensive when it comes to feedback. It's a matter of time before you learn which feedback is needed and when and where to apply it. For example, I got feedback on how I could make something work, and rather than C&P their answer, I worked and found my own version that worked.

Point is, don't worry too much, you'll get better. It's bound to happen!

I mean, you keep making good sprites, and knowledge and confidence will follow.
