what I tend to do is lower the size of the card art to 288x288, and then draw another layer in a 3x3 pixel brush. when you resize that lineart, it becomes way more readable and then at that point you can clean it up

tbf doing pixel studies of master paintings is really fun, in my old job we used to recreate famous artwork in our game's style (it was isometric tho which added a whole other ..dimension lol excuse the pun)
these two were particularly fun to do! yeah i defo recommend doing it at some point haha
