Fire clears habitat so the forest can spread

But if the fire hits the actual forest it doesn’t help it out

These trees live a few thousand years so they don’t need the same critical regeneration cycle a lot of the fire loving plants do

Granted if there was no habitat one day and there was no fire, you wouldn’t be getting new growth of redwoods and sequoia

But that’s never the case at least hasn’t been in recent

The plants that actually benefit most from fire are wildflowers and small things, shrubs are second, trees are third
