Probably because it doesn’t have enough shades, the gengar/electivire essentially only has 1 general color, being purple, so they could use much more shades without overloading the amount of colors

Klinklang/Ninjask carries the big gear on its back and then has 4 additional gears connected to it, 2 medium ones and 2 small ones, to simulate the 4 wings. The eyes would just be the red dots used for that one gear on klinklang. The hole on ninjask's head is replaced by a blue dot. The black line connecting the three dots would be similar to the one with the gear holes on the dark gray gear. The limbs are made of the same structure as the ring. The rest of the body would be metallic.
