Expert Mode, post-Johto
biggest shakeup: no Excalibur (No Guard Normal/Ghost), as it fell off near the end. Bet it needed the boost from the final evo, but I didn't want to lose No Guard.
The three newcomers to my team are

• Sidekick (Vileplume/Sandslash) with Effect Spore and Thousand Arrows. Not as useful as it could have been, though.
• Knife (Alakazam/Blaziken) with Magic Guard and Life Orb, giving me free Flare Blitz, High Jump Kick, and Brave Birds. Also had Psychic for good measure/type coverage. Flimsy defense, alas.
• Girl (Typhlosion/Lurantis). Contrary Superpower, V-Create, and Leaf Storm, with Synthesis for assurance. Cheesier than Dark/Ghost Wonder Guard. I didn't like her sprite at first, but her gawky appearance is growing on me. Imagine getting bodied by a kid in bell-bottoms and her mom's nightdress.

Turns out I really didn't need to do much prep for the second go at the E4, as i think they go back to regular Classic teams after Mt Silver. I did take down Bigger Bird and ||Gold||, though, so I'm still glad I did it.

this was the NO POKEBALLS (except for catching pokemon to trade) run. i could only use traded pokemon, eggs, gifts, etc.

• treat, slurpuff/slowbro, fairy/psychic
  • an ADORABLE sprite and honestly a great fusion. i got the swirlix from the ss anne and the slowpoke from the trade in vermillion (?)
• angel, azumarill/crobat, water/flying
  • my ace for this run with an insanely high atk (132*2, so 264 at lvl. 67). got this from the rocket quest in celadon
• link, aegislash/hawlucha, steel/flying
  • a back pocket killer with swords dance and iron head + rock slide + flying press. honedge is from the old man in rock tunnel and hawlucha is from the egg nest in saffron
• helio, jolteon/scolipede, electric/poison
  • the newest addition and the occasional bird and water killer. eevee was from celadon and venipede was from the nest in viridian forest
• bird up, jirachi/blaziken, steel/fighting
  • my starter and my baby : ) torchic from oak (starter), jirachi from its encounter
• briar, venusaur/lycanroc, grass/rock
  • bird killer, kind of. but overall very solid mon. bulbasaur from a trade in celadon and rockruff from the egg in the secret garden

Ended up being a higher level then I'm used to because I had almost my full team by rock tunnel. I just added Sucini in near the end, and it was already lv 50. I even had slakoth as my starter.

With kingler's stats, I really had to focus on mons that gave good sp defence.

I've been playing this game for years, and I've finally beaten my 1st HOF + Nuzlocke! I never had the time to finish any run I started, and by the time I came back to it, I would just start over. 5th Nuzlocke attempt, standard nuzlocke rules + no items in battle. I also let AI pick my fusions and nicknames, which was actually quite fun! I tried Hard mode the other 4 times and lost, so I went with normal. Anyway, on to the team:

-Bathtub (Azumarill/Crobat): Given that everyone else died, this is the longest standing member. Given by Team Rocket, Huge Power + Acrobatics/Aqua Tail/Play Rough destroyed anything it touched and outspeeds most threats.

-Jello.exe (Reuniclus/Porygon2): Late addition to the team, Slapped an Eviolite + Recover on this thing and it just tanks! High SpA to go with it for good coverage too!

-Hellmane (Houndoom/Arcanine): Nasty Plot + Flamethrower/Dark Pulse/ESpeed. Great Overall

-Sporetress (Toxapex/Breloom): This was the most interesting fusion given to me by AI. Merciless + Baneful Bunker/Leech Seed/Drain Punch/Poison Jab. This thing just does not go down!

-Hexrush (Gengar/Electrode): Fast Special Sweeper. Not much else to say, it put in great work!

-Haunthelm (Chandelure/Empoleon): You shouldn't even be here! I lost Ironshade (Aegislash/Golurk) to Giovanni, and this was AI's best replacement. It did what was needed though I guess...

Friends lost on the way: sandile/fletchinder, oricorio/ludicolo (Also, why this fusion AI???), grenadier/lucario, gardevoir/Ampharos, Golisopod/Lairon, Leafeon/Magneton, Milotic/Noivern, and Aegislash/Golurk.

Mimikyu/Lucario (with disguise ability and me first move. Either he survives the opponent's attack or returns it even stronger)

Espeon/Gardevoir (tank/psychic spammer. She can survive most attacks that's why she tanks while I revive my stringer mons or she just one shot them with psychic)

Electrode/Mismagus (Megumin. My custom starter. I make sure she learned the move explosion)

Lapras/Moltres (didn't do much, just here for the vibes)

Mawile/Gardevoir (My ace, oneshotting almost all opponent she faced with psychic, and I gave her quick claw)

This was a ride and a half
-Shuckle/Whimsicott(Leftovers) is basically a sticky web+stealth rock machine, could toxic and such but every member having like 6-10 full restores made that pretty useless

-Yanmega/Magnezone(Choice Specs) was so much better than i thought it would be, choice speced and sometimes would take 2-3 mons by itself, i was really surprised since every other yanmega fusion i tried ended up being meh

-Gengar/Jolteon(Black Sludge) classic staple, does its job and will o wisp helps a ton with late game salamences and other members of the 600 bst club

-Infernape/Lucario(Choice Scarf) honestly the weak link, not fast enough to do anything without choice scarf. I think it got three moves off the entire league

-Flygon/Kabutops(Life Orb) was okay but not amazing, mainly here thanks to its very good typing+levitate

-Weavile+Mimikyu(No Item) was an emergency addition since i needed a physical dark type to deal with Lorelei's Dusclops/Blissey, thief the eviolite or a couple swords dance and it went down easy. Also fast enough to sweep a couple mon occasionally

Volcarona/Espeon: Fast and powerful Quiver Dancer, with STABs + Flamethrower. Not much else to say here
Shedinja/Klinklang: 1st Demon. Laughs in the face of anything that doesn't have a Fire move as it Shift Gears up and sweeps with STABs + Spirit Shackle
Parasect/Whimsicott: 2nd Demon. Prankster Spore + Leech Seed + Strength Sap plus Lunge to further neuter physical attackers makes this thing a menace even with its underwhelming stats. Probably the most fun Pokemon to use on the team
Arcanine/Pinsir: 1st Fire answer. Can Swords Dance then blow up things with STABs or try to sweep with Extremespeed
Lanturn/Armaldo: 2nd Fire answer. Wanted to try some crit immunity + defense/special defense-boosting move shenanigans, with mixed results. Was fine in the end, though it annoyingly didn't get a physical Water STAB at any point
Yanmega/Jolteon: Basically Volcarona/Espeon but without Quiver Dance, faster and with different coverage options

KONGqueror (Exeggutor/Slaking by @vagrant escarp ) A Chlorophyll boosted Slaking, there's nothing else to add here, once he got access to STAB Return he became unstoppable.

Iria (Meganium/Gardevoir by @ribbononline) at first I thought of replacing her because I was afraid of massive overlap with my starter but proved her value time and again by being an excellent support (setting light screens, crippling opponents with poison/sleep powder and/or thunder wave...) having a team player is always appreciated and she excelled at the job.

Alakazam/Volcarona: Quiver Dancer with STABs + Bug Buzz
Gallade/Klinklang: Shift Gear sweeper with STABs + Ice Punch. Low HP but respectable defenses
Hypno/Kommo-o: 1st Dark type answer. Not that strong unboosted but has very good bulk that allowed it to get in a Dragon Dance or two, then sweep with STABs + X-Scissor
Reuniclus/Carbink: 2nd Dark type answer. Very bulky with Magic Guard and reliable recovery. STAB Moonblast, Earth Power and Toxic means it's in no way passive
Slaking/Metagross: Ghost type answer and run MVP. Hits like a truck, has absurd physical bulk, can boost further with Bulk Up and has Slack Off for reliable recovery. Was using Return + Earthquake by the end but I ran dual STABs for a while

Shedinja/Hydreigon, fused pre-gym 1. Wonder guard Dark/Ghost. sadly didn't find the Dragon Dance TM, but it didn't really matter.
Mamoswine/Golurk, fused pre-gym 2, fully evolved after gym 3. carried most of the fights Shed/Hydgon couldnt finish.
Trevenant/Dusknoir, fused just before gym 4. pretty bulky, but also a passable attacker with horn leech and Leech seed recovery.

Hitmonlee/Crobat: Very fast and hits hard with Reckless High Jump Kick + Brave Bird. Has Blaze Kick for coverage and Fake Out for chip damage or revenging low HP Pokemon
Garchomp/Blaziken: Sets up a Swords Dance, gets a Speed Boost, then sweeps with STABs + Flare Blitz. Decent bulk as well
Volcarona/Kommo-o: Quiver Dancer with STAB Bug Buzz/Focus Blast and Hurricane. Having to rely on 70 accuracy moves is always a pain but it always seemed to clutch up when it mattered the most and it was bulky enough to usually eat a non-Flying type hit when it did miss
Machamp/Scizor: Flying/Psychic answer. Often swept teams with Swords Dance + Technichan Bullet Punch. Has Close Combat + Brutal Swing to round things out
Lucario/Mismagius: Fast and strong Nasty Plotter. Has STAB Aura Sphere/Shadow Ball, plus priority Vacuum Wave
Magmortar/Infernape: Starter. Went more of a mixed attacker route, with Flamethrower + Thunderbolt and Close Combat + Mach Punch

If I can give one suggestion for a fusion you could try maybe, I'll just give one and that's it. I won't try to rig your team into fusions that I would wanna see, cause I know that wouldn't be fair for you.

A fusion you could try possibly, if you want, is if you decide to have the Water/Fairy dual type, you could try Greveon. Greninja/Sylveon, if you want clarification on that.

I think Greveon is beautiful and I would love to see more people use that fusion if they can.

It's your choice if you want to use a Water/Fairy type fusion or not though.

Selective Sprite Run. I could only catch the first encounter of any route but if it was an autogen and I wanted/needed to use it I had to sprite it.
Started out ambitious but got very picky on what I wanted to Sprite. I plan on doing this again and being a bit more open minded when it comes to spriting my encounters as this run only resulted in the creation of 8 new sprites 😅

the typing does make it hard to use (rock water) but it is a special tank

115 sp.defense and I ran it with a sp.defense increasing nature

fire attacks basically tickled it

and clear body made sure I couldn't be set up on

sadly it does have better attack than special attack so water spout only really worked off its hp

Hard Rando done! I limited myself to only catch the first Pokemon in each route, and I had to fuse the first two available Pokemon immediately, so all the fused Pokemon I used were extra random! That left me with:

Monotype fire run completed. (behind Delphox/Gourgeist is Charizard/Lanturn)

It's my second run with nuzlocke rules and level cap. I got an Arceus as starter, while my rival got magikarp/phantump 😂 I may have lost it to a bide move thinking I could get a 2-hit ko 😅 I lost 18 Pokémons total until I beat the league. I caught an Ultra-Necrozma with a simple pokéball on victory road (I found very few better balls, because items were randomized too).
Here is my final team (from left to right):
Dura (Necrozma/Flygon) - I was so afraid to lose it I didn't use it outside training
Ia (Dialga/Minior) - I would love to see a custom sprite
Paf (Chesnaught/Lycanroc) - such an mvp and never missed a rock slide when it mattered
Savior (Venomoth/Haxorus) - got tinted lens ability, hit like a truck and had dragon dance to solo any team
Berial (Glalie/Lapras) - I got a moody snorunt thanks to ability balls to create this unstoppable killing machine
Satella (Porygon2/Cresselia) - she didn't serve much but could tank almost any attack with her eviolite

My 10th run after a year not playing the game. For this run i used a Fire monotype team.

Charcario (Charizard/Lucario) - Fire/Steel, Charmander was my starter for this run.
Gourlure (Gourgeist/Chandelure) - Ghost/Fire,my latest addition to the team.
Ludikoal (Ludicolo/Torkoal) - Water/Fire, joined after vermillion Gym
Magmorvire (Magmortar/Electivire) - Fire/Electric. I brought this one back from pewter, when it was a little fusion of magby and elekid.
Umbnite (Umbreon/Arcanine) - Dark/Fire. After acquired Moonstone in Celadon, he joined on the team.
Tanonowl (Talonflame/Noctowl) - Fire/Flying. I needed something different from another runs i made, so i fused them.

After a year, it may seem like just me, but it seems like the hard mode now seems easier than it used to was.
