Idk, I don't see any need for that. They're already at a high enough quality and stylistic enough that they won't ever look "outdated" not matter how much technology progresses.

I think the models themself are mostly lifeless. There are some that are okay but then others where the jump to 3d has compleatly killed everything that made that Pokemon cool (Poliwrath, Hippowdon, most flying types, because gen 6 made them all glide for some reason and they havent fixed them since, ...)

You're tone suggests you're being sarcastic, but it's practically common knowledge by now that Gamefreak is a relatively small company compared to any AAA company that people love comparing them to. And just two animations per poké is well over a thousand animations being made from scratch. It's not impossible but it would surely take them a while.
