pretty sure they've stopped doing that (most of them swapped over to lileep) at least but Vega was probably the most infamous with it by giving its shuckle spore + curse... and having a turbo specific counter to it in growl hoothoot... obtained from a trade by trading away a 5% encounter togepi

Even if you don't have Gmax-Capable mons, the Band can still be useful for making the item pool for Rogue items smaller, thus allowing you to get more coveted items like Leftovers

Well in base Pokemon, it simply has good Speed, SpA and movepool

So it can suicide lead and do shit like lay Hazards and Taunt while still threatening stuff

In Pokerogue, the high SpA and Speed still helps

And additionally Pokerogue gives it Tail Glow

As well as like

Aura Sphere, Ice Beam and Psystrike

#

Also it does technically have the same Attack as SpA iirc

And that does matter in base Pokemon with moves like Knock Off and Gen 4 Self-Destruct
