Update on the Pokerogue Champion tournament: Hau has secured last place with 2 wins, 13 losses and -32 differential (Still doing some battles, just that I'm doing them trainer by trainer now)

Not a single trainer has less than 2 wins so Hau has just lost

Funniest thing is that his Tapu Lele is one of the highest up on the kill leaderboards

(He does tie in differential with Steven, but Steven has twice the wins)

(Just that a lot of Steven's losses were brutally one sided)

(He almost had like, -37 differential, but 4 consecutive misses from Leon led to changing the results from what would likely have been a 4-0 in favour of Leon to a 1-0 in favour of Steven)

(Which has also pretty much secured Geeta's 1st place, as Leon was the only trainer even close to her)

also I took a break from BDSP for that tyranitar raid, thank you smogon for the torterra suggestion, got it first try solo with Doug's torterra strat (tera dark with crunch/iron defense/swords dance/leech seed)

you could probably swap the two defense boosts for curse and synthesis if you want a little more consistency over never going first but still worked with some okay support (arcanine/bellibolt)

Jokes aside, this was a massive patch

They finally got split passives to work

They also nerfed Scizor sadly but it has been broken ever since it gained Tinted Lens so it makes sense that they'd remove it

Miraidon and Koraidon nerfs have also happened, they lost Opportunist which is broken against the bosses

At the same time, a weather and terrain extending item has been added, buffing them

Looked over the changes myself and overall I find myself either agreeing with them or seeing the premise

So since this is a totally normal day, I decided to talk about one of my least favorite Pokémon: white-stiped Basculin. Why do I like this Pokémon so much? Well, there are 3 main reasons.

1. Starting off with the most minor reason, white-striped Basculin's shiny looks almost identical to its regular coloring. Which, thank god for right? I've always hated it when a Pokémon had a color scheme that completely suited it, only for it to completely change colors in its shiny form. Plus, this shiny perfectly matches regular Basculin's shiny, making it even more perfect. I could not imagine a better shiny for this Pokémon.

2. Regular Basculin are known to be pretty aggressive, especially with each other. However, white-striped Basculin has the complete opposite personality. Why does this matter? Because this makes white-striped Basculin absurdly difficult to catch. First off, they flee the instant they spot you, making it difficult to get close. Plus, since they're in the water, you can't sneek up on them like you could with fleeing Pokémon on the land. That is so stu- er, I mean cool. Pokémon have always been way to easy to catch, but finally there's a Pokémon that can properly challenge me. After all, the slogan for Pokémon is "gotta catch em all", so catching them all should be an appropriately difficult task.

3. The final and most important reason why white-striped Basculin is awesome, is its Pokedex entry: "Though it differs from other Basculin in several respects, including demeanor—this one is gentle—I have categorized it as a regional form given the vast array of shared qualities." So, in short, white-striped Basculin is effectively a regional variant. Do you know what this means? It means that regular Basculin cannot evolve into Basculegeon. That... is totally awesome. Basculin has always been a weak forgettable single stage Pokémon. Plus, it has a terrible shiny. Wait, sorry, I meant even though it has an amazing shiny. So why on earth would you want to give this Pokémon an evolution, when you could instead make an exact clone of this Pokémon soley for the purposes of stealing its evolution. Seriously, you cannot imagine how horrified I was when I found out they were giving Basculin of all Pokémon an evolution, only to later be relived when I learned that it was exclusive to white-striped Basculin. Plus, white-striped Basculin doesn't even have a different typing!!! It is pure water, just like red and blue-striped Basculin. Every other regional varient has a different type then the original, and it is sooooooo over done. Which means that white-striped Basculin has absolutely every reason to exist, and I could not be happier.

So in short, white-striped Basculin exists only to steal regular Basculin's evolution, is difficult to catch, and has a nearly identical shiny. That is why I loath, er lovath, loveath... Ok, I can't keep this up anymore. White-striped Basculin sucks, and I could not imagine a better way to spend April fools then talking about the Pokémon that should be a bad April fools joke.

Swampert and Venusaur are pretty good in both forms but these 2 forms have very different roles

Venusaur is a sun sweeper while Mega Venusaur is a tank, Pert is a tank while Mega Pert is a rain sweeper

To be honest, the best of these Pokemon is probably Blastoise

Since Shell Smash Mega Blastoise is very strong

And Shell Smash base Blastoise is still decent

With that said, I know for a fact that quite a few Pokemon have their Gen 7 movesets in Pixelmon

If Blastoise is one of them, it does not get Shell Smash
