yeah its just annoying when i dont wanna spend like a week just grinding but i dont wanna constantly be underleveld either. doesnt help that uranium has wild level jumps and you go from a gym 2 of an ace of 15 to gym 3 with an ace of 28 and there is 4 routes in between them and before you can fight gym 3 you have to fight a mon that is level 30 and half nuclear meaning any nuclear moves it goes for against you will be super effective stab because nuclear type is only reisted by itself and steel and super efective on littery every other type

But Shuckle is good for Mono Bug because it's bulky and can Salt Cure Eternatus
But most of my Mono Bug run was Scizor hardcarry
With Araquanid handling any and all Fire types
If you're worried about Sun, bring some Rain Dance user

I think my run largely focused on taking out Eternatus as I didn't have Salt Cure Shuckle unlocked
Though I didn't really have the best Pokemon for the job

Both the Gen 7 Water/Bugs have a weirdly high defence stat
Golisopod has 140 Defence, Araquanid has 132 SpD
I can see Golisopod having that much defence tbf
But Araquanid?
To fully elaborate on why I think so highly of Pokerogue Araquanid as an offensive threat when it usually isn't anything special, I'd first need to cover base Araquanid's qualities as an offensive threat
Firstly, and most obviously, is its damage.
252 Atk Water Bubble Araquanid Liquidation vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Blissey: 366-432 (56.1 - 66.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Rayquaza-Mega Dragon Claw vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Blissey: 331-391 (50.7 - 59.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
I wasn't joking when I said Araquanid'a damage output was comparable to Mega Rayquaza's (Of course though, Mega Rayquaza does more damage in a more realistic situation due to Dragon Ascent's higher BP.) This is Water Bubble's first effect, and just part of what makes it as good as it is.
Secondly, Araquanid's defensive MUs are solid. Weakness to Flying, Rock and Electric aren't the best, but it resists Fighting, Ground, Steel, Water, Ice and, thanks to Water Bubble, Fire.
Thirdly, Araquanid is immune to burns, once again thanks to Water Bubble. As Araquanid has higher Physical Attack, this is quite an important detail.
Araquanid also has a monstrous special Defence stat, allowing it to tank special hits without too much issue.
Finally, Araquanid has a solid support movepool, with stuff like Mirror Coat to work off its SpD stat, Magic Coat to bounce back opposing status moves and Sticky Web. On paper, Araquanid seems like an offensive threat that also has a decent support movepool. But in reality, it is a support Pokemon that happens to hit hard. Why is that?
Firstly, Araquanid has pathetic speed. 42 is absolutely depressing. However, with its 132 SpD, that shouldn't be too problematic, right? Well, that leads into the 2nd problem. Araquanid's HP is low, and that makes it a lot less bulky than one may expect, especially physically.
Araquanid also has poor type coverage. Against a Water Absorb Pokemon, or a bulky Water resist, it can't really do much, a problem not helped by the fact that Araquanid's base damage output is straight garbage, and it can't boost it without the use of an item.
So how does Pokerogue fix Araquanid?
Firstly, its passive. Tinted Lens is an absolutely absurd ability. The pool of Pokemon capable of stopping Araquanid falls drastically when it does 2 times more damage to resists, making the only actual resists ones that were previously quad resists. It also gets a proper boosting move, Swords Dance, so its issues with lack of coverage are gone. Who needs coverage when you hit everything for neutral with power rivalling Mega Rayquaza's?
Araquanid also gets Jet Punch and Aqua Step as egg moves. If it wasn't obvious enough, giving a Pokemon with this much power in part balanced by low speed the 2nd strongest clauseless priority move in the game (Sucker Punch only works when the opponent attacks, First Impression only works on turn 1 etc) is not a good idea in terms of balance. And if you needed more speed and a harder hitting move, Aqua Step is there for you, though Araquanid is so slow it'd need many boosts to outspeed a fast Pokemon.
Finally, Araquanid's frankly low physical bulk. Pokerogue doesn't directly solve this, but does add a way to play around it, in the form of Silk Trap, the King's Shield clone that lowers speed. Most physical moves are contact based, so Araquanid can close the speed gap between it and its opponent while avoiding all damage. Of course, it won't work vs Rock types with their Rock Slides and Stone Edges, and in certain scenarios it won't save you, but they can't just make Araquanid too broken, can they?
Overall, Araquanid is one of the most buffed Pokemon in Pokerogue, in my opinion at least

I've learned to just ignore the pokemon fandom as a whole since it feels like they've really soured on everything in the past 5-10 years. kinda just play and enjoy things on my own terms
if it's not that then yea it's just parroting the same jokes over and over again (which to be fair is an issue with most fandoms I see at this point but it doesn't make it any better to see)

as for pokemon as a whole I've always seen it as being like Kirby but as an RPG, you're there for the experience and the difficulty lies with completion (and in pokemon's case PvP I guess?) rather than the maingame itself

Often, people don't actually share the same image they already shared to the same place too often. (Excepting YouTubers, whose whole... anyway, off topic.)
But what you're describing is the scaling problem.
It's funny enough for a chuckle or laugh the first time you see it. But then, that time you saw it the 10th time was someone else's first time seeing it and going "Hah, that's funny." And because their community overlaps with yours, there's a small chance you'll see their post, making it the 11th time you see it.
But it will be the first time for yet someone else.
