Hmm. My 1st run was an egglocke so it was decently random so I don't remember where these pokemon might be but, I liked using the water/fire delta lilligant and I also used delta charizard and then at one point threw in the spider delta metagross. Those were all fun. Delta golurk is also pretty fun to use.

There's no reason to feel like that. You don't have to know anything competitive or play competitive to be good at pokemon, I know hardly anything but I'm good at pokemon, just from having played it for as long as I have. There are some fan games and romhacks that you might need some knowledge for them to be easier but otherwise a lot of them you don't need that, and you definitely don't for the actually games. Pokemon is supposed to be fun not competitive, I don't really like playing competitive either but coming up with strategies for different fights can be fun sometimes so I'll experiment with different things in fangames that are harder but that doesn't mean you have to if that isn't something you enjoy. You just gotta have fun with the cool and cute creatures that pokemon are and that's it. :)

Unrelated to any game but I'm making up an ability for a regional variant of Dragalge that ends up Dragon/Fairy instead of Dragon/Poison. Since it's specifically still toxic/poisonous and consumes toxic plant matter, i thought I would give it a Poison-type ver of Water Bubble

Giving Poison STAB, and instead of fire resistance, the secondary part would be replaced with a Poison version of Water Absorb

Water Bubble: Decreases Fire-type move power on the Pokémon by 50%. Increases power of Water-type moves used by the Pokémon by 100% before adding STAB. Prevents Burn

Toxic Composition(?): The Pokémon heals up to 1/4 of its maximum Hit Points when hit with Poison-type moves. Applies STAB bonus to Poison-type moves used by the Pokémon. Prevents Poison.

the heal is taken directly from water absorb

so you can't just give it a toxic orb and call it a day, it just won't apply the poison/toxic poison

On a different note, someone told me that gen 6 of Pokémon may have originally had an alien invasion theme of which a couple concepts got recycled for gen 7.

Most notably mega evolution would have been a sort of weapon used by said aliens to turn Pokémon into more powerful creatures to use in battle, with your keystone being the only thing that can prevent them from going bezerk.

to only edit evolutions like trade evos and it'll make it to where they evolve with level up. If they need a item they will still need that item tho like for getting scizor and politoad.

Ghost, dragon, ice, fairy, dark all should be good counters for giratina with only ghost and dragon being weak to his types with except of whatever coverage he has. I forgot what moves it has so.

Hisuian Zoroark is a decent choice since it is only weak to dark and is pretty strong, it is frail tho so be wary of that. I'll add more recommendations later if you still need them.

Hisuian zoroark can't be hit by aura sphere, or ghost type moves. There is also getting a Togekiss which can't be hit by dragon, 4x resists aura sphere, neutral to ghost, and is decently bulky along with decent sp.attack for killing it with moonblast or dazzling gleam.

Did you try the trade codes for them? I don't remember what they are off the top of my head but they are chilling on the internet. They were helpful for completing my dex. There are codes for starters, exclusives, and foreign ditto too. Only main game starters and the gen 4s from the egg in the dlc tho, not all the ones from mightiest mark raids.
