Tectonic is a decently hard game with a bunch of qol such as move tutors, and even new abilities for almost each Pokémon.

You also have the option to make it extremely hard with a item called tarot amulet and if you do want to perfect every fight

So I started a randomized linklocke with a friend last night, and the first run was an instant loss, because the rule is that it officially starts as soon as we get pokeballs, and since item balls are also randomized, the very first thing I got was a cherish ball, and then they wiped out like 2 minutes later. Well, before there was 100% confirmation that we were starting over, I did an internal save of the first run, but then I didn't properly delete it when I started over, so now when I try to save the second run, the game stops me from doing so, because the first run is still intact. I had to save state for the time being, but the problem will be if I beat the Champion, it'll force an internal save that it can't even do. So I tried deleting the internal save, but because the game recognizes the second run happening over the internal save, it just rewrites the internal save. I even tried exporting the save state and importing it, same problem. Is there some way to erase the internal save without risking the save state?

Multiscale would make it so the first hit he takes does half damage. You'd likely slap it with an Ice/Dragon type move, to take him down, meaning Weakness Policy activates, giving him +2 Attack. Then, he gets +2 Speed from Agility, and proceeds to S W E E P.

Facade is more a 'I can't think of another move to add here, but what if they try burning him or poisoning him' sorta deal?

Ye, that will be... a lengthy way through the game.

But it's a -damn- fine game.

You get to choose from -every- starter in the series (half of which are regional variants) plus Riolu, Pikachu, and Eevee.

It also has a dope system where every time you catch a pokemon, you can choose it's Nature, Ability (not hidden ability) and Hidden Power type.

For the sake of... well, not catching 50 fucking pokemon just to get one of a certain nature and ability.

There are easy ways of changing ability/nature later in the game, afaik, but yeah no, it's good.

EVs are also different. You get more EVs as you level, and you can choose 2 stats to max, or just spread them between your stats.

And you can swap them around at will

So you don't have to EV-grind.

so i should have checked before filling a box and a half with eggs....you cannot breed hisuian growleth in scarlet and violet. they just become regular growlith. i wanted a low level one that wasent bound by transfer trade rules, so i could do a rock type playthrough. the added fire typing would be helpful in the early gyms.

what happens if, in a battle (more likely triple or double), you use a move that continues through turns ie. Bide, Fly etc., the pokemon levels up while the move is active, and it learns a move

Can you replace the move they're currently using or is that not allowed
