i made three new regis as the main legendaries for my verdant region
regiflore (grass), regitera (ground), and regifoam (water)

each of them has a signature move that's 75 power with 100% accuracy, and that doubles in power during their weather/terrain
so during grassy terrain, regiflore's verdant vigil becomes 150 power
and during sandstorm, regitera's tectonic tyrant becomes 150 power
and regifoam's oceanic overlord becomes 150 power in rain

they also each get a signature ability (invigorate, aftershock, and storm surge respectively), which sets up their weather/terrain after one of their stab moves deals damage

i decided to make the early game regional grass-type a monkey
the first stage is called "rotunkey", as in rotund monkey, rotund meaning round or chubby in this context
it's a pure grass-type with klutz, pickpocket, and adaptability
it evolves into "spunkey", as in a spunky monkey, spunky meaning courageous/determined
and spunkey is a grass/fighting-type with limber, pickpocket, and adaptability as its abilities

i have really bad adhd, and making these ideas has been a great way to channel my really scattered thoughts into something creative

and it also helps because typing gives my hands something to do so i'm not so fidgety

so if spunkey were an early game grass-type, i wouldn't want to give the player the ability to ride it to climb trees right away
potentially there would be some kind of harness you get mid game that allows you to ride on its back, and for conveniences sake you wouldn't need it in your party to do so
possibly just have an npc that gives you the harness if you have a spunkey with you

or maybe just add a pokemon harness that allows you to use ride pokemon in general

a later normal type i think will be a normal type that evolves into a normal/water-type, with the line based on the giant river otter
some kind of manatee
a jaguar, possibly dark/electric or normal/electric
and armadillo, probably rock or steel/ground
a bat of some kind
water/fairy-type pink river dolphin
and a stick bug, obv bug type, but i don't know if it should be grass-type, because kinda the point of a stick bug is that it isn't actually a stick

the cpu in the switch is literally from 2012, and it's clocked at a lower speed than it's actually capable of

with grass types you get weakness but there stats and moves are a massive boon. Expect grass types to have high defensive states and a high SP. ATK

In all honesty the best fusion with a grass type would be a pokemon that can sharply raise they SP ATK stat. This is so you can leap between ingrain, sleep powered and giga drain.
