Indeed, if you make a Pixel Art and then publish it, but around it has a completely darkened background and therefore to understand the points that make up the drawing, you put a sort of white border. I'm doing it often and willingly myself with my drawings, a few months before the edges were much more marked
Just to tell you, in this drawing of myself but in Himouto-Umaru-chan version (December 2021) I had a too heavy white outline attached to the background with the drawing itself

I am designing characters for a game and one problem has arisen while making color palettes. I know that a good color palette has around 6 colors, but when designing more than one character/Location/enemy ETC I can't be using just one palette??

It largely depends on the style you're going for. GBA and DS Pokémon palettes have 15 colours once you factor in shading, as well as black and white. 16 with transparency. 🙂

Generally, if you keep everything to a similar level of saturation and brightness it'll all look fine togheter

It's a case of moving characters designed for one area into another one and having the palette of the new area still work with the characters
And having characters designed individually work alongside one another

for main cast ensemble you can try to make the different characters colorpallettes complimentary to each other this is easy if you try to stay in the blues to reds distribute different shades of peach, pink and or orange amog them with the blues to dark purples as contrast colors and shades (if you dont sparely sprinkle some other colours in it might look somewhat monochrome tho). For narrative opposite characters you can do a palettes that contrast eachother
if you have trouble with location palettes clashing with character palettes you might need to check the color values. your characters might be too desaturated or the environment oversaturated

Not big, necessarily. A 15-colour palette includes black and white, so that's 13 colours to work with, which includes shading. Therefore, to ensure each colour has enough shades, you normally don't want to go beyond 4 main colours so you can have 3 shades each, plush a bonus one. 🙂
That's for Pokémon sprites specifically though. It's a lot more broad depending on the type of art you're aiming for. 😄

As long as you reference the art you're using as a reference (and have explicit permission if it's fanart), I don't see it as a bad thing at all to trace. Heck, leParagon, my spriting mentor and the guy who was in charge of Smogon for Gens VII and VIII, said that for official-looking BW sprites, custom posing doesn't explicitly mean better results. 🙂

Techno's loss is such a sorrowful time for all of us... I didn't even had the time to draw this since schools were opening and neither did I have my pc to contribute to his art in my normal way of doing art.. But I knew I had to contribute to him and his legacy of his Minecraft and real life journey. He always had been my favourite youtuber in the entire gaming community ever since I got introduced to his bedwars winstreak series... He inspired me and my brother to become involved with the game itself and he inspired me to get involved in art via making his fanarts before.. A lot of spriters normally sketch their fusions, then shrink those sketches down and sprite that sketch instead of working from existing sprites. 🙂

For people who do those sprites, they sprite with a bigger brush than normal so it can be shrunk down easier, then shrink their canvas down to 96x96. 😄
But yeah, if spriting is causing some degree of anxiety, at the very least take a break from it. 😅
