The proportions work better here. The trunk tip looks too thin to me, I'd maybe even tie it into the aura sensors and run it down the back like regular Donphan (basically making it a mane). Perhaps either retain some small tusks or turn the chest spike into a larger, more tusk-like spike? 🙂

Alright, I'm done with my second fakemon. I think my shading and lines are better as well from the last one. I tried my best to replicate the Sugimori art style. (Also did this completely freehand, no tracing.) My inspiration was from the right image from a website that makes AI generated pokemon.

Sorry for the late response but it's not an extension. You can see I got the little nubs on the bottom of Seviper off, and the patterns are few and far between. Also, I removed the little scratch pattern on its chest, and there's a whole new pattern on its bottom. When I said "extension", I meant something that just sort of adds longer claws or more intricate designs. Whereas megas just sort of glam up the designs of a Pokémon, evolutions expand on the concept and/or change the base animal/creature/item.

I redesigned this starter idea i had, basic idea is that it has the theme of technology/techonological advancement (the other starters will be human/nature and paranormal/the unknown with a bit of eldritch) so here the idea is a snake that grows into having a exo skeleton to give it limbs, kinda like prosthetics to knod a bit too the technilogical advancement in that medical field

i did a redesign of this starter i made around a year ago

these pokemon are humanoids made of mud (cuz in some myths people were made out of mud by the gods and this mon represents human and nature) and the weapons/tool this species carries does not come with evolution. After evolving into their new stage they have gained the knowlegde to craft the new weapon/tool (this represents humanities rise with tools and cuz i just dont like it when pokemon have seemingly man made items from the get go )
For the rest the overall vibe i went for was tribal, and the masks getting more leaves is like a tribal headgear getting more decorations as more things get achieved by the individual, i think thats at least what each feather on an native american headpiece meant

The green bits is just vine fashioned into a belt that lowkey look like tails, but they arent really tails as I didnt want to make another grass monkey, also hence why i made it a mud humanoid/golem, its slightly different than a monkey/gorilla etc

For years, 6 years or so, I've been trying to give it a decent name as it was inspired by a Steel / Poison-type robotic chameleon (codenamed Mana-bot) however as time went on, Poison as a type for this Fakemon was somewhat .. superficial so over the years it has become Steel / Normal. Now after 6 years it is the Astronaut Pokémon but as specified above I could not find a name that would give it justice. In case I can find it, I will edit it post-publication

Any respectable artist would welcome that even without being asked (provided you credit them). I would be stoked as hell to see someone get inspired by my work. Hell - I am not that great of an artist but I do love writing and I consider myself decent at it. If someone drew a scene which I wrote, I'd be ecstatic.
