honestly this made me realize just how chronically online I am so I'll sum up his character design really fast!
- Yep, decided to substitute the voodoo symbols for circuitry symbols! Partly to get away from the racist connotations and to add to the radio motif!
- Part of Alastor's backstory relates to deer (forgot what) so decided to add ears/hooves/tail to make him look more deer-like (which is not incredibly apparent in the original design)
- This is more of a nod (honestly this whole design is heavily inspired by another design) to another redesign by another fan. It's meant to be radio antenna and tie into the radio theme.
- Took inspiration from Black fashion in the 1930s and 1940s to make it more apparent he's from that time period. Also made the suit more monochrome since color in tv wasn't much of a thing then (also to parallel Vox)
- Let him keep his red microphone because it was nice.
the green was a nod to green being an "evil" color in disney films and hey it was a good way to move away from the red color scheme

Getting the spriter role isn't really that complicated though. you just need to make 3 sprites and put them in spritework so they can get some feedback and apply that feedback as needed (you'll need to put your sprites in spritework and apply feedback anyway if you want to wait to get them maybe harvested one day (not garanteed to happen)

Okay, first tips:
I don't consider this a finished underdrawing as the head is still represented by a circle. heads are typically shaped with a sphere only in the upper half, where the cranium is. If you are using distorted proportions to create a cartoony effect, make sure that it is still a distortion and not a replacement. (Replacements are fine if intentional, but such deconstructions should never be used as a way to hide a lack of skill.) I like to also show the placement of the eye sockets for my own convenience later.
Additionally, consider ways to show the emotion of the character. Self-touch gestures are common with higher amounts of stress. Changing the angle of the head so it doesn't look like a license photo can also help the drawing feel less stiff.

Don't be afraid to have the breasts round out the edges of the bust a bit; even men have some roundness there.
For the legs and feet, pay attention to the overlap. If one leg is behind the other, you need to give it enough room for the full roundness of the leg to exist or it will feel like a paper cutout. Also consider the heels; you have them symmetrical in your drawing and touching each other, but depending on the angle of the leg, they may be more hidden.
The wings appear to be missing a bend. Wings are shaped similarly to arms, so they should still have an 'elbow'. Wings are also limbs, so they can also be used to express the character. Holding the wings closer to the body can express feelings of fear or shame as the person tries to be less noticeable.

how do you use it (I legit never used it for more than a day before)

its kinda the same as most other platforms imo. you make an account, look up a key word you like (i.e. pokemon) then sort as you like. you can also follow specific tags or blogs (peoples pages). as you scroll, "reblog" things you like and the algorithm does the rest. you can also like posts, but this dosent boost the post onto more peoples feeds, so its generally frowned upon to only do that all the time.
