Hi, i'm doing a mega evolution of toxicroak, I need tips... It's only a sketch, not final version. What can I add? What can I remove? Do you understand the design?

saw you looking for advice earlier, i know a bunch about fakemon design. a few things you could do are

• bring back the frog design elements, as well as the poisonous vibes. what i mean by this is make it look like its clearly a frog, idiotproofly a frog even
• proportions are important, the more human the proportions the less it looks like a pokemon, the limbs need to go from bulk to super skinny to make them look cartoonish rather than being consistent like youre doing. the comically large hands are a good start.
• every pokemon needs something that makes it cute/likable to a younger audiance, so it cant be all scary/cool as much as we all want it to be.
• too many lines, pokemon need to keep down the detail for the most part so every part can shine. too many spikes or lines can mess with the overall vibes, so keep it simple
• build on the original concept, a poison dart frog who also has some assassin vibes going on. id personally try and add more poison sacs, use the underbelly design as bandages, and/or choose a blade type to emulate with the hand blades. that being said feel free to go your own way and do something weird, itd be cool
• lastly, try checking out truegreen7's redesigning fan pokemon vids, he talks about all this stuff extensively

all that said, looks pretty good regardless. good job! fakemon are super hard to get right so i respect it

Mega Toxicroak.

Upon Mega Evolving, its power is concentrated in its hands and throat sac. Its hands swell so much that when closed, they look like real boxing gloves. In addition, the beak that once sat between its fingers is now a retractable blade, ready to strike at the right moment. Its blue beak has also grown exaggeratedly and turned a bright red, reflecting its aggressiveness.

Its throat sac has become transparent, showing the highly toxic poison that boils inside. When it uses it in an attack, it completely deflates to release all its energy, but over time it fills up again. However, this poison is so potent that it sometimes burns its own throat.

Parts of its sac have also appeared on its shoulders, hips, and knees, and when it hits or receives an impact with them, they release a poison that leaves the opponent unconscious for a short time. Visually, the black stripes on his body combine with the white part of his crotch, forming a pattern reminiscent of boxing shorts, further reinforcing his street fighter appearance.

Mega Toxicroak becomes more violent and deceitful, using any opportunity to strike where it hurts the most. With his new form, he becomes a fierce, confident and lethal fighter.

Here's what I cooked up.

Statwise: Slightly more bulk, specially defensive. It lands in a higher speed tier too, becoming the fourteenth fastest Pokémon.
Abilities: I went with vibes for these, trying to lean into the rogue-ish feel the design has, and they tie in to the dex entries. Alternatively, Protosynthesis could be kept, but it's a boring ability.

Metric Stats: I felt like it'd be a bit smaller than Zoroark, due to the fact that it's a thief, rather than simply a hunter. It wants to be able to get in fast, then get out unnoticed.

Dex Entries: I went with what you said, and just expanded it in a way that felt Pokémon-y.

Moves: Has a lot of sound-based moves, as well as stuff like thief and switcheroo. Since I wrote that it uses mimicry for hunting, I thought it made sense to give it quite a vocal arsenal. The TR Moves were more vibe based.

also the reason there aren't hooves is mostly just that initially I gave it boots and then changed the colour scheme a bit and the boots didn't really work well with the changed colours but I had to get to uni so I kinda just left that as it, so that is just me not spending enough time on the feet
