3 Years ago in this channel I posted my attempt to re-design the logo of the game, at the time graphic design was more of a hobby but since then it has become my full time work! As I was working on other projects I kept seeing this games logo once in a while and even if I'm happy to see my work still being in use I started to really dislike the visuals of it as I got better at designing logos as a whole.

So today, I went back to the drawing board with this concept, I don't expect the current logo to change to this one (I know it would require a bunch of work and some people will definitively like the old one better I'm sure) but even if it's not used it's a good training exercise for me :)

Keep in mind this is still work in progress and not polished 100% yet.

As a test I just replaced the main menu logo and removed the black bars on the background (thank god I still have all the work files :D)

There is some change that would be need to be done to the menu for it to fit 100% (mainly the pokemon being way too large on the screen and moving the keybinding and version text)

but sadly it's not stuff I know how to tweak

I moved the logo in the bottom right and put it always on top so it stays visible even with the most complex of sprite while obstructing them as little as possible

I changed the Keybinding text to be an icon instead to lower the space it takes a bit + Abbridged the version text

It does but considering it's the base pokemon and not the fusion I feel like it's less of an issue

if it is tho I will probably put the logo back in the middle

I do like it better there to be honest, I just don't like that some sprites totally obscure it but without changing the size of sprites that will always happen :)

But not just that. Even though it is still more of a purple hue, it is a combination of the superstition combined with black cats. And the Korean superstition about the number of 4 being an unlucky number.

I’m doing a month of art based off Pokémon in non-battle scenarios and this is day 1! (I gave up on colouring the background lol)

Apparently Lucario can sense emotions and auras for half a mile away, so I like to think they can extend this ability to full on conversations when the other Pokémon is also psychically inclined

This Lucario is friends with the Slowpoke that lives in the old well! They’ve never seen each other, but they communicate often. Lucario has offered to pull Slowpoke out of the well, but they like it down there because it’s dark and quiet. The hibernating pupitar gets good dreams as a byproduct of their chill hangouts.

For that number of frames, I'd say it's not fast enough, but if you add some inbetweens and double the frame rate accordingly, then it will be spinning at that speed and still look good

Ok so the Molypad line takes into consideration the Rakali, a water rat that lives in Europe. At the time I was a big fan of the Lotad line so incorporated the lilypad theme into them.
Vigiris line is based lions (obviously) at the time of creation, there were many wildfires in Tanzania around the areas where Lions lived which decreased the population in the country so I wanted to incorporate that.
For the Delneka line I just used different underwater adaptations such as symbiosis and bioluminescence. Also wanted to include the fire type so I added jet engines in its tail (cuz why not)
