Since B.Oricorio is based on a flamenco dancer, I turned Whimsicott's cotton into paella.

For those who wonder, paella is a traditional spanish dish which consists of rice seasoned with saffron, hence the yellow color of rice, and cooked with peas, diced pepper, seafood and meat like chicken or rabbit. Its zone of origin is the region of Valencia, in the middle-east coast of Spain.

Also, lemon juice is a common dressing for the rice after being served. That's why I put two slices on it.

If you're at all curious about them mechanically, they're a Ghostlance (Fighter/Warlock multiclass) and either swinging the staff as a water-axe or just shooting the axehead itself is how my Eldritch Blasts are flavored

However, it is better to more so reference it and try to copy it by eye instead.

Though tracing over it with making a frame copy of it can help you understand the shapes more easily.

I like the idea of a pinocchio type slowly turning into something malicious, but I felt that if it was going to fit into the starter mold, it needed to be something less humanlike (which is going to be a theme with these redesigns)

So for my take on this evo line, I decided to base it not just on pinocchio, but on other fairy tales, slowly growing more mischievous until becoming a slightly sinister trickster type.

I admit I've been heavily inspired by by spiritomb, I even used spiritomb color palette. But spiritomb and the dog from gen 9 are the only Pokémons referring a grave in their design (tell me if I forgot one), and they don't even have rock type. They can gather to evolve (the second form has an eye on both sides). They can levitate and hit their opponent with the graves. also, if the graves are broken, they can just gather the pieces together. The second grave is a reference to Arceus' ring, and it's upside down on the final form in order to mock Arceus

I mean why not round up to a nice 300x300

cause i read something about 288 or something, so i just grabbed that

We use 96x96

And the once the sprite is finished we enlarge the image 3x so the final one is 288x288

But we always work using a 96x96 canvas

But yeah for just an overview, 3x too big, outline should be 1 pixel thick, the concept doesnt fit the head/body format that PIF sprites use (tho it is a cool fusion in itself)
