Made this mockup of a loading screen idea I had. Doesn't fit the rules for the contest at all so putting in here instead.

Would probably want a bit more to pretty it up a bit but the main idea was for the game to show random pairs of pokemon fusing on the loading screen. Bonus points if it did something like only show fusions the player hasn't seen yet/ fusions available with the pokemon the player has in the dex/ only custom sprites. Only really makes sense to bother doing something like this if the player's going to spend a decent bit of time on loading screens though.

Found an old spritesheet I made a while back that I used for testing game insertion and used as a placeholder for custom NPCs in events I was scripting but didn't have the sprites for yet. Cleaned it up a 'lil bit from the original version that was in the gen 4 style, converted it to gen 5 and now I have this.

It's usually preferrable to have the sprite on an angle since it looks more natural facing the opponent rather than the player, but you're free to keep it like this if you want, it's a cool design
