hi all - i just tried to switch from v3.0 to v4.0, and my fused pokemon change species. They are fine when I return to using v3.0. Is there anything I need to do in order to have them update correctly?

Does anyone else suffer from framerate issues? I have kinda drifted away from playing this because the newest version struggles so much for me. I tried to power through but its just painfully annoying to try and ignore. It makes grinding an absolute pain.

To be more specific, i have 16 gigs of ram, a gtx 1050 ti graphics card, an AMD FX 6300 six core processor, and the game runs at what feels like 10 frames or less. Trying to use speed up makes it worse

Yeah i attempted to do a nuzlocke twice and the first time i just got so fed up with grinding (my first starter only had growl, it was randomized) that i gave up and started a new one. Next one i also got too fed up with grinding because unlike VBA and other emulators, this lags to high hell and the speedup makes it worse

Yeah i recently reinstalled and I'm playing it currently and its the same as before. In battles or large areas the game has what feels like struggles. In battles the game almost hiccups when loading to do a move or animation. And in small buildings like the room you first start in, the game runs as smooth as butter. Going into my inventory during a battle also causes the game to run smooth, but immediately after going back into the battle (I.e. using a pokeball, potion, or just exiting the bag), the hiccup-feeling lag returns

Hey, so I just downloaded the 4.0 full game but after unzipping it when I try to play it it is normal when i go into the options and up to where I press new game. After I press it though it cuts to a black screen and seems to not respond. Anyone know anything that might help?

Ok. Well I tried a thing where I went into my settings and added the game to my data execution prevention thing. And I got a step forward. Now when I select new game it says “Script took too long to execute. Restarting game” and then it gives me a pop up with a lot of ????’s and then closes.

How do I add extra sprites to the game

You can replace already existing sprite in the graphic folder (make sure to use the same name and size) but you can't "add" new ones
let say you want to replace the fusion bulbasaur + ivisaur. you go in Graphics/Battlers and search for the right sprite (if you play to the 4.0 version it will be under the folder 1 and the file 1.2.png. in 3.1 It would be 153.png)

I have the same issue with the pc crash when I try to move Pokemon in my box (move, withdraw, or deposit) it gives the same error that the script is taking to long and the game will restart, then an error message with question marks. I can't access any Pokemon in my pc. I started a new game and put my old save file in another folder, but the same error happened again.

Vara and pokefan20 have been having the same problem. just interacting with the pc causes the crash, before they actually access the pokemon storage system. And in the corner of the screen (above) the icons for some of the pokemon in the pc become visible. I tried to reproduce it by catching a boxful of pokemon, but didn't come up with anything.

does anyone know how the playtime is determined exactly? i always wondered why my ingame played time is so high. turns out it's based on your pc's time or something like that. turned back time on my pc 13 hours and lost 20 hours ingame playtime (playtime changed while i was playing which was kind of weird, i have two identical saves with 40 and 20hours playtime now)

Well first thing firt. You seem to be missing some files. I don't see your Game.ini as well as your Fonts folder. What did you download exactly ? try to re-download the game from the link in #announcements be sure to chose the _FULL version

I don't think it's the internet. if the archive didn't download correctly it would be corrupt and therefore he wouldn't be able to extract it. But he did. He just can't lunch the game .
there is probably another reason behind this.

@sterile pivot I didn't. 3d mode is just the angled mapviewmode that was included with older versions of essentials. I had to modify the z-index somewhere in the script to fix some superposition issues, but that's all. I messed around with h-mode7 for a while, but couldn't really get it to work so I dropped it. The dll in the game's folder doesn't actually do anything. Remind me to leave it out of the zip for the next release hahah!

Not in an "official" kind of way. But there is some links around from people that uploaded their versions after it was shut down
(make a research on that discord, I am sure there is some link womewhere in the other-fangame channel. It should be few month old. hopefully those link are still valid)

I've downloaded it several times and it never stopped. I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with the files but rather a weird interaction with my pc. Do we need to download anything else to play it? Pokémon Essentials? RPGMaker RTP?

The spritesResizer is bringing up an error because it's trying to resize a sprite that it can't find.

Just wanted to drop by and say that I finally figured out the problem. Apparently Infinite Fusion doesn't (or didn't for me) create a separate save folder, so it was trying to open a different Game.rxdata that I had in my Saved Games folder.
Might be something you guys want to change, if it does in fact not create a separate save folder.

The sprite error is because it was trying to open another Game.rxdata (which was not Pokemon Infinite Fusion).
The save folder creation might be on my end, though. Pokémon Reborn does the same.

in the folder where the game is (not the save file, but the application itself), there should be a file called game.ini
one of the lines in that file should be "title=Pokemon Infinite Fusion" or something like that. whatever that title is, it should look for/create a folder in your Users/[yourname]/Saved Games folder with that title

I'd like to report something. But, I'll say beforehand, I have no screenshots of the same. When I was playing this game, it took to much time to load (which is understandable, possibly for low pc specs). Then, the error message popped up saying "The script is taking too much time to load." after which it prompted a message and then when I try to reload the game, there are 5-6 error messages saying "End of File and so many alphanumeric characters and numbers" and after which game starts and an in-game message comes saying "Savefile is corrupted, or incompatible with the game. Do you want to start anew". I'm pretty sure it was the very same save file which worked very well before, but now has 0 bytes size. Luckily, I have a backup, but, it's a drag to play again for the 5th time. Can anyone help me with this or provide a solution?

if it happen rarely you could backup your save every time you want to play so if you save become corrupt you still have the backup.

open notepad, copy past this into the notepad then save it with the extension .dat (I called mine " backup_and_run.dat ") then put this bat file inside the game folder (next to the Game.exe) and next time you want to run the game run this script instead.
It won't fix your issue but if the script work in your pc, at least you'll have backups of your save before actually running the game. worst case scenario, if the game crash and corrupt your file, you'll still have a copy of the save before running the game
