Hey guys, just got back into the game since March of 2025 and decided to try and update and get back into the game now. I updated the game despite already having the old folder and everything seemed fine. I load into the game, get on my save but none of my sprites are loaded in. Hi y'all, I'm still having an issue on android where the title music plays on loop (intended) but the title screen visuals play 1 frame every 30 seconds.

I've done a full power cycle, and an older version worked fine on my fine before updating to 6.7.2
I have 8gb of ram and a plenty good CPU in this thang so I have much doubt it's simply a performance issue

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, go to #ask-a-bot and type in ?tag altdownload and reinstall with the guide that Deino replies with. This is only meant for Windows devices. If you’re on a non-windows device, you already have all spritesheets pre-installed which means you just need to turn off download data!

When I face one of the trainer (which is mandatory, unfortunately), the game Crash with the message on the picture.

To fix crashes on specific trainers in legendary mode:

1. Leave the area (if in a building, go outside)
2. In the Game Options, toggle trainers from classic to remix (or vice versa)
3. Go back to that trainer and try again.
4. After the battle, you may change the trainers back to their original setting.

If you get a different crash when you toggle the trainers, try moving to a different area.

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".

That’s.. not quite how that works. The credits and sprite repo get updated together when the new packs come out so they would never be out of sync like this. There would never be a case where a sprite from this month would show in either credits or sprites within the same month. This sprite was removed in the last pack, my assumption is that the player still had some of the information cached in their files that there was a sprite there and that’s what caused the issue.

If it’s on the calcs, it’s in the repo that the game downloads from and vice versa

• If you get the message below while opening the game, this means to stop clicking/pressing buttons on the screen as it is loading.

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall using the preloaded files in #downloads .

Ok so, i didn’t download the preloaded files.. cause I found what was my problem

The problem is that the "sprite to import" file was too full! After about 30,000 sprites, you can't add any more and you have to quit the game to clear it and then start over.

So, if you ever encounter this kind of problem again, you'll have another solution besides downloading the preload files (even though my friend downloaded them for nothing...).
