How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

  • If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
  • If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
  • Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
  • If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

Okay, so this is a long shot but I have a more complicated question as far as porting this onto an Emulationstation based device (R36Max console, running dArkOS)

It can load other PC/Windows based games through something called PortMaster, and I'm wondering if Infinite Fusion could possibly work for it? Like... I'm not even sure where to start, but it's loaded other types of games similar to it, so... anyone have any thoughts?

Using the Fire/Water/Grass Pledge moves (had to alter coding to get them to work, yes I know that’s a no-no), and just want to acknowledge somewhere how they work. Fire + Water should always result in a 150 BP Water move, Grass + Fire should always be Fire, and Water + Grass should always be Grass. The field effects activate, but it seems the sheer typing that comes out damage wise depends on who moves first

So I have a slower Pokemon with Fire Pledge, and a faster one with Water and Grass Pledge. So if my faster mon uses Water Pledge, and the slower one uses Fire, it’ll result in a strong Water move being done by the slower mon. But if the faster mon uses Grass Pledge, and the slower mon uses Fire Pledge, the result seems to be a strong Grass move rather than Fire. Have just been doing battles in game and realized this when using the moves on a Steel/Flying type, where Water + Fire did neutral damage and Grass + Fire was resisted. Again I’ve seen the rainbow field and the burning field effects activate, regardless of the typing that comes out

Also I’ll say that with the rainbow field effect, I’m trying to use moves that have a 30% chance of some effect alongside Serene Grace; imo the chances should multiply twice but even if they just stack on top it should lead to a high chance of the additional effect and I’m not quite seeing that. I’m trying out both Discharge and Lava Plume, and after a few dozen battles it feels like I’m getting closer to the regular 60% you’d get with only Serene Grace active alongside those moves, but that’s technically just my gut saying that

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps to fix:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
  2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF
    Note: If you are on Expert Mode, you can go to the help man and switch back to Classic rather than turning off random trainers.

Using the in-game option for Full Screen can strain your graphics card and lead to Graphics issues, flashing, green lines, and more.

We recommend setting the Screen Size option to a lower setting and dragging the corners of the window to make the screen larger instead for computers having issues.
You can also try updating your Graphics Drivers and seeing if that helps with certain graphical issues.

So i've been getting this error is there an easy way to fix this on my end? Id love to play again but since all my previous saves broke. I tried to start a new game but when i enable auto save at the start this occurs.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, use the preloaded version in #downloads (Windows Only)!

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall using the preloaded files in #downloads .
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

After the press any button to continue screen when you pick your save, it gets stuck on a black screen. I tried restarting and the issue continued, but when I tried to close the game it didn't do anything for a bit until it said that "The RGSS scrpt seems to be stuck. infinitefusion will now force quit."

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, go to #ask-a-bot and type in ?tag altdownload and reinstall with the guide that Deino replies with. This is only meant for Windows devices. Hey @plucky jetty! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

  • Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

  • Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. Double click the folder named backups
  4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
  5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
  6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
