• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

Where are sprites stored now? I just updated, I'm looking in /InfiniteFusion/Graphics/CustomBattlers/ and there's a few in /spritesheets/spritesheets_base/ and /spritesheets_custom/ as well as some personal ones I've imported in /local_sprites/indexed/ but that only accounts for a handful of pokemon. Are the rest only downloaded as needed and aren't there because I just updated or something?

Mostly I'm confused because the local sprites are ones I imported before updating and I had hundreds of fusion sprites before updating, and the non-local ones seem to be gone now but the local ones are still there

Were a ton of sprites removed recently or something? When I loaded up an older save, all my pokemon had duplicates of their autogen sprites instead of the ones I'd used at the time. The duplicates also are still labelled with the name of the artist attached to the original sprite, and the original sprites still appear on websites like fusiondex.org and infinitefusiondex.com

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, go to #ask-a-bot and type in ?tag altdownload and reinstall with the guide that Deino replies with. This is only meant for Windows devices. If you’re on a non-windows device, you already have all spritesheets pre-installed which means you just need to turn off download data!

Sounds like your PC and the website are jsut struggling to make the handshake. This can happen randomly sometimes, with any website, it doesn't mean anything is "wrong" with your hardware or the site necessarily. I'd just wait a bit, like 20-30 minutes, come back and see if it's still acting up

So quick question, Is there a way to negate the loading times. It shouldnt be my computer, it runs everything fast and doesnt have problem with downloading times. Every time I enter a battle with a new pokemon, go to the title page, and go to the menu screen, it takes 2-5 minutes per loading session, which gets reset everytime I open up the application. I even tried the performance version and it had no change. Is there something I should be doing?

Hello, i have a problem, so when i start the game it takes 10 minutes to load and then when the first pokemons start to fuse on a "pres any key" screen again i have to wait for some time. when i finaly start to play whenever i get a new pokemon again i have to wait. i assumed it has to do something with downloading the sprites so i uninstalled and installed the preloaded version but again at the startup i waited for 10 minutes. From what I know and experienced, there isn’t any down sides regarding on the safety of your own property or damage to the pc. Infinite fusion is basically an programmed app (.exe) that will allow you to play the game without other installations of emulators or any other software needed, if you follow the steps listed in #downloads you’d want to follow the steps for the Light Weight Installer!

I gave a best shot looking into this and specifically with certain handhelds specific versions of joiplay run into issues like this, sometimes installing older versions of joiplay helps but if you make changes with say the input overrides and they apply and don't save I don't know if you will find much online, I didn't.... if you can contact the manufacturer and ask them about if it has joiplay support that might be your best bet.... having said that google searching "Ayaneo pocket air mini joiplay support" shows a lot of people specifically talking about this issue, some even mentioning PIF and other games and it seems like a rather recently launched handheld, I hope you find a solution and if you do I would recommend you posting on their subreddit with what worked for you to help others.

some posts talk about using the calibration tool but it sounds like this is a saving changes issue not making changes or controls not working

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, go to #ask-a-bot and type in ?tag altdownload and reinstall with the guide that Deino replies with. This is only meant for Windows devices. Looks like that worked. I unplugged my ethernet and then turned off download data and then plugged my ethernet back in and restarted the game and it looks like it starts up just fine now. To successfully import your own custom sprite, please follow these steps:

Sprite Requirements:

1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.
2. Naming Convention: Name your sprite according to the game's dex numbering. For example, a fusion of Aegislash and Goodra should be named 329.446.png.

Importing Your Sprite:

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/CustomBattlers/Sprites to import.
3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

1. Launch the game.
2. The game will automatically detect the new sprites.
3. If you have an existing sprite that you're replacing, select the option "Replace All the old sprites with the new ones" when prompted.

This game does not work while inside a OneDrive folder. If you see a status column in your game folder or your filepath has onedrive, that means your game folder is synching to OneDrive and will cause you several issues.

To Fix:

1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your C:\Users\Your Name\Downloads folder
2. Attempt to run the game. If your problem is fixed, you do not need to do anything else. If your problem is not fixed or new problems arise, continue to step 3.
3. Open the .git folder (use screenshot below tp show hidden folders if you don't see it) and delete the file named shallow.lock and index.lock
   4.. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, use the preloaded version in #downloads (Windows Only)!

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.

Hello. I'm brand new to PIF and I'm having a problem. I was messing around with the settings and I found that I can't exit fullscreen mode. When I switch it to a smaller window size, the screen goes black and I can't see anything, even if I alt-tab out. The game is still running, but confirming the changes (blindly) doesn't actually save the change to the window. Is there a fix for this?

I just confirmed a bug with randomized mode. Asking here to see if there's an existing bug report for it.

In Remix mode, if you randomize NPC trainers, even if you don't randomize gym trainers, the gym trainers all get randomized anyway, and the gym stops being the remix typing.

Is this known? I know it’s known that randomized gym trainers doesn't work right.

Hey all, quick question trying to get the game working on my retroid. I followed the android install, cleared previous version of joiplay and downloaded from correct link. When trying to launch game in JoiPlay it says :
Script '008_animatedbitmap.rb line 20: NoMethodError occurred. Undefined method [] for nil:NilClass

And I am confused as to what this mean

i went from autorun to hold to run....how do i switch it back

I think it may be extraction failure so I will try doing that again to see if it helps

did you use the files from our guide exactly

or did you download the game and then download joiplay seperately

that error doesn't have a dedicated fix

the only thing you can do is try again

but if the error crops up a second time, your device isn't compatible

I had a feeling that would be fix, already on it. Retroid is on compatible list so hopefully it's just something extract wrong or install wrong

there's no telling how long ago that was put there

various game updates or OS updates for your device could have come out inbetween, rending it incompatible

i need someone to help me recover a save file i was about 4 hours into the game had it all goin good then i got to a double battle with this hiker couple and an RDSS error came up and i think it deleted the file if its possible can someone help me get it back
