Hello! I am attempting to install the game on Mac and have run into issues getting through homebrew and installing wine. I’ve been following a guide online that has been updated, but I’ve gotten to a step that has given me an error that isn’t talked about. I am trying to input the command “brew install —cask —no-quarantine wine-stable”

For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

2. you don't edit save files, if your character is invis when you load it up, hold your run button and move; that should reset the player sprite, if not; hit up a pokemon center, talk to the help man and have him fix the game, your character looks weird because it is an old save from before the new customization stuff was added

just keep playing then, since you are both playing with an internet connection and download data turned on, the difference is likely just due to encounters and fusions

the sprite download isn't infinite, there is a cap, which makes the game occasionally take breaks from grabbing sprites before it can start pulling again

you also have to remember that some pokemon [base or fusions] may have a LOT of alt sprites, so it is possible she has more sheets that have alts, while you don't

all in all, unless you suddenly both stop seeing custom sprites all together, you are both fine; but should that happen, feel free to come back and poke us, we have a download available with all the current sprites in it

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, use the preloaded version in #downloads (Windows Only)!

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!

otherwise, the sprites will appear in game and display properly as you download them and change them

if you are using the performance application, you shouldn't unless you have significant lag in the normal application or can't run that application at all

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps to fix:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF
   Note: If you are on Expert Mode, you can go to the help man and switch back to Classic rather than turning off random trainers.

game stops grabbing sprites

if you just sit in viridian city, your game won't download anything

you don't even need to catch a mon to get the sprites for it, just battling will signal the game to poke the sprite repo to download the sprites [assuming it isn't in the down period where it has to take a break]

If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

Hey @weary prawn! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

You can change the settings in game to be hold or toggle, see the image below!

• When set to Hold, the speed multiplier can be set up to x10
