When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps to fix:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF
   Note: If you are on Expert Mode, you can go to the help man and switch back to Classic rather than turning off random trainers.

Hey @verbal timber! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

all expert does is change the pokemon on their teams.

Me and my friend also encounter the issue where the rgss script failed or the blackscreen is endlessly long (we let that run for like 15 minutes). The thing is that we bove have pretty decent pcs: 32 gb ram, 3060ti, modern cpu etc. Our internet speed is also just like usual: pretty good. yesterday we still could play the game but today we encounter the same issue at the exact same time.

I installed the game a few days ago and until the day before yesterday, it ran just fine.
Now my game is no longer loading into the title screen after pressing any button. It freezes on the intro cutscene.

I have:

• deinstalled and reinstalled, ensuring that I use the links from the discord and the official guide
• tried using both launchers
• tested my internet speeds, which are normal/good
• ran a malware test just to make sure my previous installation wasn't fake
• tried running on admin

After everything, it still does not load and I am kind of stuck on what else to try.

Option 1:
Disconnect from the Internet > Start game > Turn off downloads in Settings > Play
Downside: you will have like no sprites
Option 2:
Download the alternative version with sprites included
Downside: you still have to start it "offline" and disable downloads (?)

Wondering what the different game files are?

• InfiniteFusion.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
• Game.exe is a duplicate of InfiniteFusion.exe that will likely be removed in a later update.
• InfiniteFusion-performance.exe is the lighter version of the game required to make it work on slower computers. It has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart. For new sprites, monthly sprite-packs must be downloaded manually.

Hey @harsh pulsar! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

• This might be an ISP issue (Telekom in Germany or similar)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

to follow up on this:
i was fighting with that issue as well. the game suddenly stopped being able to download sprites and got stuck in infinite loops where your only option was to forcefully close the application. this happened after playing the game for 40h straight without having ANY issue.

the fix was actually using the full path of the .exe in a windows firewall outgoing rule (just like DarkyDonut described) instead of using the default path you get by just navigating windows to the .exe (it'll add the path with a shortcut like %systemdrive% or %userpath% which does NOT work).

my best guess is that microsoft screwed something up in one of their recent updates. while you can work around the issue by disabling downloads, i feel like most players will be happier to know of this (hopefully) temporary issue and how to possibly fix it.

i'm a pretty tech-savvy guy myself and getting to the conclusion that the windows firewall is unable to properly resolve microsofts own path structure was definitely something i didnt immediately think about.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

I'm currently running into issues when starting the game on windows. I've followed the instructions and when loading the game it loads, then closes itself.

No other tab or error box comes up :/

For missing sprites after updating, talk to the help man in any Pokémon center and navigate to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

If your sprites are still missing, check the pinned message in #tech-support titled “REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES”.

I think my game is broken. Something happened from me battling a trainer, hatching an egg, then fighting the same trainer (I'm using a randomizer) that is making them switch pokemon every fight. I never selected that option, and I was grinding on the same trainer over and over and now its randomly happening for all trainers. I ask for rematch, game freezes for 1 second, start battle, new pokemon, rinse repeat. Sometimes I also get a random item at the end of the fight. The wild pokemon are fine, and pokemon I recieve and stuff are fine. Shops are the same, its just now happening with the trainers. I've tried "fix the game", I've tried just re-randomizing the trainers, saving and quitting, etc. but for some reason they just all do it no matter what. Is there anything I cand do to fix this or do I just have to deal with it?

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, you can either download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID) or use the alt download (mentioned at the bottom of this message)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

If for some reason none of this works, type ?tag altdownload in #ask-a-bot and reinstall using those files (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

No. Like the trainer will have a mudkip/charmander fusion. I win the battle, and then rematch, and it has like a pidgeotto/stunfisk fusion. And then sometimes after battles I get items randomly on a black screen. It's just weird. I also noticed that sometimes its the same mons over and over in the fusions or the same types. it just seems like a weird glitch.

Hey @rustic wasp! Black screen in this game is the loading screen. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer and YOUR internet.

To change a Pokemon's sprite to an alternative one, go to their Pokedex entry (this can be done from their summary screen) and go to the "Sprites" tab. Here you can scroll through the different available sprites.

To successfully import your own custom sprite, please follow these steps:

Sprite Requirements:

1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.
2. Naming Convention: Name your sprite according to the game's dex numbering. For example, a fusion of Aegislash and Goodra should be named 329.446.png.

Importing Your Sprite:

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/CustomBattlers/Sprites to import.
3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

1. Launch the game.
2. The game will automatically detect the new sprites.
3. If you have an existing sprite that you're replacing, select the option "Replace All the old sprites with the new ones" when prompted.

Once completed, you can view your custom sprite in-game from the Pokedex's Sprite tab.

to clarify the above, do not include .png in the file name, just make sure the fusion numbers match the pokemon you want to add a sprite to [ex; 329.446] and make sure it is saved as a png file
