For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, go to #ask-a-bot and type in ?tag altdownload and reinstall with the guide that Deino replies with. This is only meant for Windows devices. If you’re on a non-windows device, you already have all spritesheets pre-installed which means you just need to turn off download data!

I'm having issues with launching the game. It likes to instantly crash and when it doesn't instantly crash this message or something simmilar appears after playing for a lil bit. Sometimmes I get an error for when I enter some trainer battles but after relauncing the game I can enter the battle without it crashing, same goes with using rock smash for example. Some times the game outright crashes with no warning. Im on windows 10, im using the launcher for infinte fusion and I've pretty much tried everything I know to fix the problems like reinstalling the game, opening it as a adminstrator. I had the same issues before but then I didn't have a internal hardrive but I now have one with both infinte fusion and windows on it so I now have no clue what to do.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, you can either download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID) or use the alt download (mentioned at the bottom of this message)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

If for some reason none of this works, type ?tag altdownload in #ask-a-bot and reinstall using those files (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

To fix crashes on specific trainers in legendary mode:

1. Leave the area (if in a building, go outside)
2. Toggle trainers from classic to remix (or vice versa)
3. Go back to that trainer and try again.

Route 13 little girl on the beach, if you go around her, break her castle, stand where the castle stood and then battle her, the sand castle respawns and you are in it, unable to interact with it to break it and unable to move unless you fly/tp or use the debugger.
What you were doing in game when the issue arose.
What i said, in the screenshot i circled the exact spot however i had already flown out after trying to escape for about 5 minutes, i know you can just get around it by using fly but on the rare instance someone is dumb enough (like me) to do this they would have to use the debugger, no way around it.

Uhhhh...idk if this was supposed to happen, but I renamed the InfiniteFusion (1) ZIP folder to InfiniteFusion after deleting the older ZIP folder. I then extracted everything, and this is what I got. Apparently what I did resulted in everything looking like what the lightweight guide showed, at least for the first photo, but all of my old stuff also is there as shown in the second photo.

I also tried to run the INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat, but instead of getting the left image, I got this:

If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Delete your old launcher folder.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Possibly a dumb question here, but I'm at a bit of a loss lol. (I apologize if this explanation is wordy)

I downloaded the game two days ago and started my save, and everything was working fine. Today I started the launcher, and it said that my gamefiles had moved and I needed to select which folder they're in. The only thing that worked was just selecting the folder named Infinite Fusion, and even though the game started up and was working fine, the fusion sprites are messed up now (not showing as the custom sprites).

I've tried updating, reseting config, and even considered deleting, redownloading, and transferring over my saves. Though I'd prefer not to do that if I don't have to. If anyone has advice or if the answer is super obvious and I'm not seeing it, please let me know 🙏

I mean yeah the Infinitefusion one will be the one working since that's the name of the game you're playing. Custom sprites download as you play. If it's been awhile and you still don't see any, either redownload with Lightweight or the Alt Download. (Make sure to delete your initial .zip, the launcher, and the game before reinstalling)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".

6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.

Hey @manic knoll! You can press F1 (FN + F1 on laptops) to change your keybindings!

Be aware, controllers will be auto mapped to buttons depending on which controller you plug in.

I am playing on PC, on the newest version, have tried "fixing the game" with the suit guy in pokecenter... and have tried changing my 1st pokemon as it had Drizzle... Nothing worked. This is a NG+ run on Legendary Mode / Expert Mode (not randomized)

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps to fix:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF
   Note: If you are on Expert Mode, you can go to the help man and switch back to Classic rather than turning off random trainers.

Since Legendary mode changes the trainers pokemon (actually kinda a rando in a way), it also applies to the randomizer error

Legendary Mode is incredibly finicky with both randomization and expert mode.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, go to #ask-a-bot and type in ?tag altdownload and reinstall with the guide that Deino replies with. This is only meant for Windows devices. If you’re on a non-windows device, you already have all spritesheets pre-installed which means you just need to turn off download data!

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, you can either download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID) or use the alt download (mentioned at the bottom of this message)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

If for some reason none of this works, type ?tag altdownload in #ask-a-bot and reinstall using those files (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

What i didnt do was click the filea inside after extracting. It had nothing to do with skiipping or not reading. The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

If you want to revert your save to a backup, use ?tag backups for more info.
