Just found a funny bug while trying to get the Pinkan island quest to work.

All of the rocket grunts are no longer in the hideout beneath the goldenrod department store as they are waiting at the ship.
I entered the area beneath the department store, but not wearing the rocket uniform.
Texts boxes popped up as if the grunts were still there and I was kicked out of the basement by no one I guess.

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Hey @verbal timber! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, go to #ask-a-bot and type in ?tag altdownload and reinstall with the guide that Deino replies with. This is only meant for Windows devices. If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

Yeah, I know that from the screenshot. I know its not ideal but that's my best recommendation without wasting more of your time waiting on a tech manager to see if there is an easier way. This way just gets you back to where you should be.

Did you try running performance mode already? If not you could see if that works, it might be failing to load the map for performance reasons

Well if it helps, remember that your saves are stored locally outside of that folder, save with the backups. Re-installing will not effect saves, and if for some reason the save doesn't work when you re-install, you can grab a back up save. Then you lose you know, 30 minutes or something since the last time it auto-saved instead of the whole thing.

Also remember on Mac though, it won't generate that save folder shortcut until you make a save. So once you install, make a dummy account real quick so it has the folder to pull from again.

For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.

Found a bug.
I went to Pinkin Island and did the (Rocket Side, because the police side wouldn't let me on the boat (regardless of my outfit)) quest there before really exploring Johto or doing the pokemon league.
At Pinkin Island I got a pokemon with Waterfall.
I then completed the pokemon league and decided to approach Johto from the Victory Road route.
I have not yet completed the event surrounding the Slowpoke well.
I just encountered the pokemon thief at the Alph Ruins despite him still being at the Slowpoke Well. Also, his character sprite was intangible in the pathway into the Alph Ruins. I am about to confirm that he is in fact at the Slowpoke well as well. It also seems like I may have bugged that event somehow.

And no question is a stupid question! The black screen is a loading screen and since you are randomizing that sometimes can take a bit depending on the speed of your computer. Does your current save work just fine?

Any missing sprites are a side effect of reinstallation. All 300000 sprites can not load in so they download as you play. Have you seen any custom sprites?

Hiya! Currently trying to install the game and I'm running into some trouble. I have a Macbook Pro with these specs: 2.3 GHz 8-core Intel Core i9 processor, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB graphics card, 32 GB of memory, and it's updated to Tahoe 26.0.1. I followed the links for Mac installation and went with the Wine version, as the Whisky version stated that it isn't compatible with Intel processors. I installed the Unarchiver app, as requested. I downloaded the Wine files from the link on the guide page, confirming that I had MacOS compatibility selected for the zip file. While watching the Wine installation guide video, I noticed that the main initial file featured is a .rar file (InfiniteFusion.rar); however, the downloaded folder I have contained an .exe file (InfiniteFusion.exe), not any .rar files. The Unarchiver app continually gives me an error message saying that it is unable to extract the contents of this file. I tried redownloading the zip file from both the Whisky and Wine guide pages, and both zip files contain .exe files and not any .rar files. I made the Unarchiver app the default for that file type, but it did not change the result of my attempts. I'd love some help with this matter, please and thank you!

Yea, when the video was created the zip was a rar file. This is a compressed file that you unzip using unarchiver, the .exe files are what gets ran by wine to actually launch the game

So the InfiniteFusion.rar file in the video is actually just InfiniteFusion.zip which contains the InfiniteFusion.exe file.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

HELP!!
I downloaded Pokemon infinite fusion for Android along with Joiplay and necessary plugins from official source by following the official written guide carefully. It's running pretty good on my Redmi Note 11 mobile, nothing game breaking so far. But the game freezes for 2 to 5 seconds when my avatar steps on specific tiles here and there (usually 1 or 2 specific tiles per city/routes and only freezes everytime when going only from one specific direction and doesn't freeze when I step on the tile from other sides); after 2 to 5 seconds the game automatically unfreezes and runs without any problem.
Is there any way to solve this issue??? Like should I change any settings in the Joiplay app or any in-game settings (I have already changed some in-game settings mentioned in the official written guide).

This is a normal mobile thing.

You can try restarting the game and your phone. But otherwise lag is dependent on your hardware and the mobile version specifically has micro freezes on specific tiles. Mine freezes for about 0.5 - 1 seconds on the same tiles

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

Could the documentation be updated to make it clear expert mode is not compatible with the randomizer?

I made a post about getting hit by an ice type rapid spin from a pokemon without refrigerate, and I found this is because of how the expert mode changes get applied. They do not seem to overwrite the randomized species or its moves, but do apply the new abilities, natures, evs, and ivs. So its like the changes get partially applied, and in my case I ended up facing an Adamanat Cresselia with Refrigerate

1. Go into your game files. (If on launcher, you can go to settings and click “Game Files”
2. Navigate to InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Pokemon\FusionIcons

I wanted to play the game after a while, but the green stripes appeared again. I tried everything i did the first time to get them away, but this time nothing works. • If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. To fix crashes on specific trainers in legendary mode:

1. Leave the area (if in a building, go outside)
2. Toggle trainers from classic to remix (or vice versa)
3. Go back to that trainer and try again.
4. After the battle, you may change the trainers back to their original setting.

If you get a different crash when you toggle the trainers, try moving to a different area.

did you do that before going into a save file?

because that would be why

changing it without going loading a save is more of a temp solution

any changes you make in the options need to happen in a save file to properly well...save

so if need be, change it in the main menu to L, then load up a save, change it to XL, save the game and then close the game

that should resolve the issue, if not; then the problem is more hardware related and not associated with the game

bout all we can suggest on that would be double checking the GPU drivers, double checking windows updates...stuff like that

The Pokeradar activates an encounter every possible roll for it; on turn, on step. It does this regardless of;

Level of lead pokemon (tested with 32 and 12)
Ability of lead pokemon
Walking, running or biking
Time of day
Active repel
Active flute
Route (tested on route 24 and route 5)

this makes it impossible to access the radar-exclusive encounters on these routes because any step activates a non-shaking grass battle. Is there a way around this, is this intended, and if so, how do I make it stop

2. make sure your lead pokemon [1st slot] is higher level than the wild encounters, but not too much higher [5-10 levels max]

yeah that thread had it and the fix; something was causing a Fusion Incense to linger long past its expiry cos of its use with the Pokeradar, and that for some reason caused it to massively spike the encounter rate when combined with the repel that the Radar turns on when activated. Using a normal repel, running it down and not activating another seems to have fixed it for now

Hey @limpid marsh! Looking for the Pokéradar? You can obtain it from Professor Oak's Assistant on Route 24, but she only appears after you meet her in the Cerulean Pokécenter.

When you use the Pokéradar, a repel automatically activates and grass will shake. This indicates which tile the Pokémon is in. If you are having issues with the encounters fleeing or need more info, use the Wiki Page: Wiki LINK

To fix crashes on specific trainers in legendary mode:

1. Leave the area (if in a building, go outside)
2. Toggle trainers from classic to remix (or vice versa)
3. Go back to that trainer and try again.
4. After the battle, you may change the trainers back to their original setting.

If you get a different crash when you toggle the trainers, try moving to a different area.

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, go to #ask-a-bot and type in ?tag altdownload and reinstall with the guide that Deino replies with. This is only meant for Windows devices. It seems like wild double battles in the celadon sewers are bugged in randomized mode. I've been encountering a randomized mon alongside a regular one, like ratatta, grimer, and raticate.

I also have "all fused pokemon" on, so I am sure this is a bug as these mons aren't fused.

I think you would need to be in the middle of the Celadon quest to replicate this, so Erika follows you around
BTW as far as I can find, this bug hasn't been reported before
