Can anyone help elaborate on this? I’m uncertain if this applies to my situation. I opened up the game after a few months away only to find that the (fused) sprites I’ve been using have been replaced by low quality ones that are entirely different from what I remembered. Assuming it is the issue mentioned here (despite the fact that I’ve opened the “install or update” file beforehand) will it go away naturally after a few minutes or hours? Is this going to be an issue everytime I open the game from now on?

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

If for some reason none of this works, type ?tag altdownload in #ask-a-bot and reinstall using those files (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

I’ve read this beforehand, but I’m still confused if you can help. I’d think this issue would be applied only to new sprites since the old ones would already be downloaded but it’s old sprites that I’m not finding. Like I mentioned, I’ve clicked on install or update before opening the game and it said downloads were complete. That’s why I’m confused (if I’m having the same issue here) why there’s missing sprites. The pinned message also doesn’t answer if this will be an issue everytime going forward

hiii so I recently redownloaded the game after having dealt with this same problem in previous versions.
After the initial loading screen, when it goes to full screen, the video starts clipping out, and the intro music loops until the video finishes.
The startup screen appears and does the same thing, and the game does not respond to any keyboard/mouse input. Please help! Ill try to upload a video (could not make my screen recorder work for whatever reason)

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, you may need to download and import the newest full spritepack from #spritepack-releases. How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

2. Open the settings tab
3. Click "Reset Config"

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

I had started playing PIF on my pc but I had to go somewhere after a day for a while and so I had taken the save file, put it on my google drive, and redownloaded the launcher on my laptop
And placed the save file onto my laptop
But now for some reason the fusion sprites aren’t the same they look like the basic ones with just the heads swapped
I remember before on the pc I got a message saying if I wanted to download new sprites and I put yes but I didn’t get that message on the laptop since I just put it straight on my pc save file instead of starting a new one

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".

If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

2. Open the settings tab
3. Click "Reset Config"

Reinstall the Lightweight installer in a NEW folder from Here

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.

I was searching others' questions about the anbernic and know it needs to run on joiplay, but does that mean that the guide would be android or the linux whatever? I saw two different posts mentioning this. I assume I can't copy/paste the folder that I just got all set up, correct?

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

That's the issue. OneDrive borks the game

You have three options

• Uninstall OneDrive (Recommended if you don't need OD for school/work)
• Put the game in C:\Downloads (Or anywhere outside your user profile really since OD doesn't manage anything before user profiles in the C:\ Drive)
• Edit your OneDrive to not manage your PIF folder (Only if you need it for school/work)

Basically you want C:\Users\nappash\ OneDrive \Documents\InfiniteFusions not in your file path

3. Click "Reset Config"

4. Install/Update the game files.

Reinstall the Lightweight installer in a NEW folder from Here

Hey @glacial steppe! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.
