despite lowering a pokemon's HP to the lowest i can get it (without KOing it), as well as being 10+ levels above the wild pokemon, i still can't catch any wild pokemon. every time i try, they break out on the 1st or 2nd movement. curious if this is just how the game works, or if its just bad luck. for reference, im in veridian forest and using regular pokeballs.

Ok so I'm kind of confused here, very new Android user. I got a message that I need to update the game using the installer... What installer? I had to unpack everything manually. Is there an installer hidden in the files somewhere? I can't find any mention of one in the android installation or update guides, it just says to copy my save, backup, and unpack the new version

So from what I understand that after I get the Magic Boots, that it should be available in all of my files as a default.
But I presently have an issue where it disappears every time I boot up the game, and I have to load up the file where I got the boots in the first place to enable it on the other files again.

Hey @hearty eagle! Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching all unfused 501 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-501). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

If for some reason none of this works, type ?tag altdownload in #ask-a-bot and reinstall using those files (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Yes I did and it still wasn't working at the time and then the sprites file was already downloaded but wasn't working still but after I deleted everything but the save files, and reinstalled everything I finally got it to work

The sprites are being monitored by staff and still work properly.
You need internet!!
read this whole message carefully to know what is applicable to your situation.

➡️ IF you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

--- Your game is fine and working properly.

----- the game can only download a limited number of sprites per time unit while playing before going on cooldown, you simply hit the maximum for now.

----- check you have your "download data" option enabled.

➡️ IF you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:

--- Your game is not fine nor working properly.

----- This is likely the result of you messing with files, either to cheat or try to "fix" stuff. OR you have "download data" turned off in options.

step 1. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
step 2. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses > advanced > other > reset > reset sprite cache & reset alt selection
step 3. If that did not fix it: do a full reinstall.

➡️ IF you for some reason still do not believe your game is working properly:

Open and send me the text in this file: InfiniteFusion\Data\sprites\updated_spritesheets_cache
OR
step 1. delete your whole install
step 2. reinstall following our guide in downloads
step 3. go to a pokecenter

I’ve followed all the steps for the PIF launcher. Downloaded the zip file and extracted and clicked PIF launcher twice where the discord says it should open the game. I don’t get a pop up saying windows protected my PC so I wonder if it’s that?

if so and nothing works, try following the lightweight guide. The launcher has many warnings with it because it gets funky with updates.

Thanks! I will check that out now. Also, I tried the repair option from inside a pikemon center. It fixes the issue until I walk outside. The loading time from going between buildings is also longer than normal. But first screen shot is as soon as I walk out of the center and Then the second is right after i repaired inside the pokemon center.

Yo I got it to work. So if you playing on the steam deck go to properties of infinitefusion change the target path from game.exe to infinitefusion.exe, then update as normal. It still has my save files.

Onedrive causes many issues in and out of the game. If you see a status column in your game folder or your path has onedrive, that means your game folder is synching to OneDrive and will cause many issues.

To Fix:

1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your C:\Users\Your Name\Downloads folder
2. Open the .git folder (use screenshot below if you don't see it) and delete the file named shallow.lock
3. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

Git has locked your game folder from installing/updating. To fix:

Hey @wise ether! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Yep your saves are in a completely different location making the Infinitefusion folder safe to just delete

and onedrive doesnt affect it

this happening while randomizing the mons right? If so try running the performance version of the game while it randomizes

The problem with putting it in downloads is that it's easy to accidentally delete. It would probably be easier to just stick in the C drive

yeah try letting it randomize on performance ik some computers struggle with it for some reason

Try and start an unrandomized file. When you load into the game, save. Do not choose your starter. Instead interact with Oak's tree. It acts as a pre-starter choosing help man
