I've gotten back into infinite Fusion and tried to jump back into one of my old save files that I had custom sprites in
Come to find out that all the Pokémon in my team had lost their custom sprites and all other sprites with only the base sprite left. Pokémon I had boxed were unaffected
Yes I did update the sprites pack and game because it's been a HOT Minute since I last played so that may have something to do with it
I've already tried the Debugger and the in-game fixer with neither working
All my other save files are working fine (Those were made After I updated and one other I had made before) so it's just the file A that's weird lmao

Using the in-game option for Full Screen can strain your graphics card and lead to Graphics issues, flashing, green lines, and more.

We recommend setting the Screen Size option to a lower setting and dragging the corners of the window to make the screen larger instead for computers having issues.
You can also try updating your Graphics Drivers and seeing if that helps with certain graphical issues.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Onedrive causes many issues in and out of the game. If you see a status column in your game folder or your path has onedrive, that means your game folder is synching to OneDrive and will cause many issues.

To Fix:

1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your C:\Users\Your Name\Downloads folder
2. Open the .git folder (use screenshot below if you don't see it) and delete the file named shallow.lock
3. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

S'why I think having both options on the importer would help alleviate the majority of issues - importing spritesheets allows for the correct accreditation and also tells the game that the sprites DO exist (in case downloads are on) so that there's no breaks in gameplay, and further to that it would allow for people to manually import the spritesheets whilst keeping auto-DL enabled so their files stay up to date

Sprites can be kept separate for archiving purposes, then combined for any necessary use cases. Would solve the offline play image size & file number issues that the spritesheets were first introduced for, too.

I dunno, this is surface level debugging 'cus I don't know the functionality of the relevant systems. I might be completely off-base.

But it makes enough sense in my head that I'd be remiss not to suggest it.

I edited another couple files and got it to stop listing those entries altogether. Had to keep the files for the game to run, but basically by removing all data from the three files in InfiniteFusion\Data\sprites (BASE_SPRITES, CUSTOM_SPRITES, and Sprites_Credit) I got the Pokédex to only listed the imported sprites after using the Help Man to clear the cahce and alt sprite assignments.

So whilst the 'solution' is completely untenable, I've at least zeroed in on the cause of the conflict.

But now I'm apparently just back to it being unable to auto-select sprites for base mons.

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".

hi, after updating the game, my Remix save file seems to be updating to "Random" if i save the game, even though no randomizer options have been selected. talking to the randomizer options guy also no longer shows the warning that switching to random mode will lock me out of certain events. does anyone know why it's being flagged as random or if there's a way to undo this?

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps to fix:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF
   Note: If you are on Expert Mode, you can go to the help man and switch back to Classic rather than turning off random trainers.

For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, you may need to download and import the newest full spritepack from #spritepack-releases. You should try to read NPC dialogue! They give very good hints on how to continue the game. Sometimes they also give you items! Don't forget to talk to NPC's and read what they say.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.
