The delay here looks about the right length of time to randomize normally, but the "everything fused" takes a lot longer.

Whichever setting you used, check the randomization settings and see if that's still set correctly. If its not, set it again and try again.

Also, what actually happens when you go find wild mons? Are they:

• The same randomization as they were before
• Not randomized at all
• (In either case) do you get the "randomizer encountered a problem" message?

Yeah the head and body can become shiny separately, it doesn't transfer its shininess into a pokemon it's fused with

There're three possible shinies per fusions. One where the head is shiny, one where the body is shiny, and one where both parts are shiny

The sprites are being monitored by staff and still work properly.
You need internet!!
read this whole message carefully to know what is applicable to your situation.

➡️ IF you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

--- Your game is fine and working properly.

----- the game can only download a limited number of sprites per time unit while playing before going on cooldown, you simply hit the maximum for now.

----- check you have your "download data" option enabled.

➡️ IF you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:

--- Your game is not fine nor working properly.

----- This is likely the result of you messing with files, either to cheat or try to "fix" stuff. OR you have "download data" turned off in options.

step 1. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
step 2. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses > advanced > other > reset > reset sprite cache & reset alt selection
step 3. If that did not fix it: do a full reinstall.

➡️ IF you for some reason still do not believe your game is working properly:

Open and send me the text in this file: InfiniteFusion\Data\sprites\updated_spritesheets_cache
OR
step 1. delete your whole install
step 2. reinstall following our guide in downloads
step 3. go to a pokecenter

🔴 After following the applicable steps your sprites are working. If you encounter missing sprites it is simply because of the sprite download cooldown. Keep playing and sprites will show up.

Hey @restive meteor! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions below 6.6.0.

If you're using the Launcher:

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Hey @summer thicket! Looking for the Pokéradar? You can obtain it from Professor Oak's Assistant on Route 24, but she only appears after you meet her in the Cerulean Pokécenter.

When you use the Pokéradar, a repel automatically activates and grass will shake. This indicates which tile the Pokémon is in. If you are having issues with the encounters fleeing or need more info, use the Wiki Page: Wiki LINK

One other thing to try, turn off WiFi and mobile data on your device and relaunch the game. If it still doesn’t work, your device is incompatible now. If it does work then it’s a WiFi/data issue

If you're encountering missing sprites

**If you just updated to 6.6, do the reset cache steps mentioned in this #announcements message post.
**The game comes with all sprites preinstalled, up until the February 2025 Pack.
The remaining packs will be downloaded as you play, as long as you have "Download Data" turned on and your device is connected to wifi. You do not need to do anything for them.

Keep in mind, the auto download does not have infinite speed or capacity and will not trigger if you are not actively encountering new sprites (ex; battling, checking the Pokedex, etc.).
After downloading X amount of sprites per time unit Y, it will be paused for a bit. We cannot adjust this limit and there is nothing you can do as the player to skip it or make it go faster.

The first time you encounter a base Pokemon, it will select a random one of all sprites, if it is a new one that hasn't been downloaded yet, it will show as missing.
The same goes for fusions but with a little more nuance. To keep it simple, think of it the same.
Again, nothing wrong with your game. You just hit a download cap.

Note: Updating your game resets all your auto-downloaded sprites. do not attempt to "fix" this with updating. It will just make everything start from the beginning.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Sprite Requirements:

1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.
2. Naming Convention: Name your sprite according to the game's dex numbering. For example, a fusion of Aegislash and Goodra should be named 329.446.png.

Importing Your Sprite:

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/CustomBattlers/Sprites to import.
3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

1. Launch the game.
2. The game will automatically detect the new sprites.
3. If you have an existing sprite that you're replacing, select the option "Replace All the old sprites with the new ones" when prompted.

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions below 6.6.0.

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from #downloads
2. Open the settings tab
3. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion

if you use a pokemon, without a downloaded sprite, during the cooldown. then it will show the auto-gen instead of the custom one. it will overlap the auto-gen on the custom entry if you try to select it. until it has downloaded the actual sprite.

I'm having a problem launching the game. For some reason, the game was running fine, and suddenly it can't go past the opening animation (the one showing the fusion between Nidorino and Gengar. Sorry if it's not spelled correctly, I'm not a native English speaker).

When I open the launcher the play game button will not appear until I update the game from the launcher, and when I hit play Game, The game starts Its loading animation, and at some point freezes or goes to a black screen, and no matter how long I wait, The game will not load. It then crashes when I try to close it.

Hey @vague star! Black screen in this game is the loading screen. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer and YOUR internet.

The play game button not being there happens every time I load the launcher

So I downloaded the game properly to update it, yet I'm missing A LOT of sprites including all my favorites. Some custom ones still appear but it's been a week and no more have downloaded. Yes, automatic downloading is enabled in the options.

I found a way to adjust the game to Debug Mode so I can spawn in Rare Candies for a Nuzlocke. Will I like… get in trouble with the devs if I do that???

Hey @carmine palm! Are you looking for Rare Candies? You can buy them at the Battle Tower on Kindle Road for 3 tokens. They are also a potential prize at the Triple Battle Lounge on Knot Island. You can also get them from Resort Gorgeous by completing Selphy's request. All of these are repeatable.

Attempting to edit code to enable debug will not work. Debug is only obtainable as an in-game reward for catching all 501 Base Pokémon.

The ONLY fix for your error is to delete your game folder and reinstall using the files linked in #downloads . Reinstalling will not affect your save files.

My pokemon have stopped gaining exp at level 29 and i just got to the Giovanni sewer fight and am on hard, is this the level cap or did something break (I am randomized as well if that matters)

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions below 6.6.0.

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from #downloads
2. Open the settings tab
3. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion

If you're not using the Launcher:

Use the Lightweight installer guide to install in a NEW folder ➡️ Click Here⬅️

If you are on a non-Windows device, follow the [guide](#tech-support message) for your device to reinstall.

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way.

hey, i know there was a version of the game that has all the sprites pre-installed to play offline - is this still available? or is this now fully integrated within the game so it downloads everything after a certain point to be available offline?

There is no preloaded anymore, no. You can use spritepacks if you’re playing strictly offline, however
