Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

So I was doing my first Random run since it seemed cool, and at the last trainer battle of the Viridian forest, I tried to heal my paralyzed Amaura (btw, didn't know that pokémon existed until, like, five minutes ago) with a poison mushroom, since then I would only have to deal with one of those two statuses and still get to heal it (I know, I'm a genius UwU)

But then I got a huge error screen from RPG maker, and apparently I'm dumb as rocks and didn't screenshot it before restarting the game. "._.

I do remember something about "unknown effect" or something like that? Not sure tho.

3. I have duped quests in the journal and can't validate some of them (item not obtainable in the world)
   Duped quests: Mushroom Gathering / Lost Medicine
   steps:

• Talked with the pikachu guy in the shop BEFORE getting the journal
• Get journal
• talked to all the quest givers on 1st floor starting from the left
• accept all
• Talk to the Oricorio guy, don't accept quest
• try to find revive
• Nothing
• Check journal

So for the revive quest i should still find it, but I can't, I interacted with every benches in the city, nothing.

Hey @restive meteor! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Well what worked was updating to the version recommended by the guide without uninstalling the joiplay, but some sprites still ugly, as I understood it should download alt sprites with the time so I'll leave it open and hope it works

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.

• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.

Hey @storm elk! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions below 6.6.0.

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from #downloads
2. Open the settings tab
3. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion

If you're not using the Launcher:

Use the Lightweight installer guide to install in a NEW folder ➡️ Click Here⬅️

Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching all 501 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-501). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.

Wait i got (kind of) a fix, if you go to the man in the black suit again and click random trainers off and then reshuffle again it keeps the trainers random but it doesnt make the game crash when you run into them again

expert replaces teams with custom made teams.
randomizer replaces team with random teams.

thus totally negating any change expert made.

so you simply were not even playing expert up until the error

classic = intended base experience

probably, but still wouldnt be the "expert" experience.
expert is balanced around classic routes. access to random mons makes is 1000x easier. but thats up to you.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

This is all support we will give around sprites.
The sprites are being monitored by staff and still work properly.
You need internet!!
read this whole message carefully to know what is applicable to your situation.

➡️ IF you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

--- Your game is fine and working properly.

----- the game can only download a limited number of sprites per time unit while playing before going on cooldown, you simply hit the maximum for now.

----- check you have your "download data" option enabled.

➡️ IF you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:

--- Your game is not fine nor working properly.

----- This is likely the result of you messing with files, either to cheat or try to "fix" stuff. OR you have "download data" turned off in options.

step 1. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
step 2. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses > advanced > other > reset > reset sprite cache & reset alt selection
step 3. If that did not fix it: do a full reinstall.

➡️ IF you for some reason still do not believe your game is working properly:

Open and send me the text in this file: InfiniteFusion\Data\sprites\updated_spritesheets_cache
OR
step 1. delete your whole install
step 2. reinstall following our guide in downloads
step 3. go to a pokecenter
step 4. talk to the man in the black suit with sunglasses > advanced > other > reset > reset sprite cache
step 5. with the same man: advanced > other > reset > reset alt selection

🔴 After following the applicable steps your sprites are working. If you encounter missing sprites it is simply because of the sprite download cooldown. Keep playing and sprites will show up.

Hey @midnight axle! To Speed Up your game, hold Q (or Spacebar if you are using Game-performance).
You can change the settings in game to be hold or toggle, see the image below!

• When set to Hold, the speed multiplier can be set up to x10
• When set to Toggle, the speed will cycle through x1, x2, and x3
