Hey, so iwanted to update my game on the steam deck to 6.6.2. I ran into some problems and ended up deleting the entire game. Obviously i went to the video with the mediafire link. Here's where the problems start. in the video it's multiple times stated that it's like 2.5 Gigabyte but when i open the link the only download is for a 1.3 file. Naturally i wouldn't want the game to have less content in any way shape or form so i wanted to ask what is up with that

Hey @white shuttle! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Sorry, popping in again just to ask about something. So, to test sprites I was working on in older versions of the game, I used to drop the wip sprites into the files of my game with the auto-genned ones, and they'd show up in game like normal so I could see what they look like in-game. However, on the current version of the game, this seems like it doesn't work anymore, so I was wondering if there was any way to do that, or if it's just not possible anymore

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

we had different shinies compared to mainline.

Yea, there was an update that adjusted exp rates so if your save was from before that update, that’s normal. Should only happen the once (per mon)

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

Hey @tulip mural! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

Below is how to apply NEW customizations to your player character as long as you are on version 6.4.7 or higher:

Example of overriding default clothes to Hex Maniac:

• If your player character is female, use leaf instead of red in all references below.

1. Delete all the clothes files from: InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Characters\player\clothes\red
2. Copy all the clothes files from: InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Characters\player\clothes\HexManiac
3. Paste the files here: InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Characters\player\clothes\red
4. Rename each file to replace HexManiac with red

• For example, one of the clothing sprites for Hex Maniac is: clothes_bike_HexManiac.png. You would need to rename it to clothes_bike_red.png. Do this for all clothing files.
• Afterwards, open your game, press Escape and go to the Outfits option. The Red clothing will now be Hex Maniac instead. The same concept is applied for hair and hats.

hi I'm on windows and every time I try to boot the game up it just shows a black screen but when I try and leave it suddenly appears for about half a second I've tried using the launcher and lightweight version is there any way to fix this

the main issue is it loads and flashes the start screen then black screens and ive left it running and it has never loaded fully

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions below 6.6.0.

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from #downloads
2. Open the settings tab
3. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion

If you're not using the Launcher:

Use the Lightweight installer guide to install in a NEW folder ➡️ Click Here⬅️

If you are on a non-Windows device, follow the [guide](#tech-support message) for your device to reinstall.

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

I used a wartortle and oricorio-sensu fusion in one of my save files, but today when I updated my game using the "install or update" file, the sprite I used to have active just doesn't appear anymore, did it get removed or is my game just downloading the sprites again?

someone downloaded IF to their steam deck and has been playing it for some time, but suddenly today--and they assure me they have done nothing at any point recently to update or change the deck or their game--they said it refused to start, and upon redownloading the game, despite still having the actual save file, the new download of the game refused to acknowledge it

is this a known issue or does anybody have any clues as to what might need to be done?

steamdeck stores saves a bit weird, they aren't directly connected to the game files unless a reinstall is required

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF
