How to restore to a backup save

5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Not really, deleting massive amount of somewhat large files takes a while even for beefy machines, since it is not just sending them to the bin but actually deleting them.

Make sure you are not doing other things that also use your storage too much, same for the RAM, and you will be fine.

The issue is from your computer itself, and normally appdata is not covered by OneDrive so at least it shouldn't be that causing issues.
Make sure your install is in downloads and not affected by onedrive as well.
Other than those, there is not much we can help with at all, sadly.

I have an infinite Blackscreen. In the Task Bar, as soon as i hover over the game, it shows me everything, i see the menu and even hear the sounds. Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

when you fuse a pokemon you always get a choice of options, of those is the moveset:
you either keep mon A moveset
mon B moveset
or a combination

depending on your choice would have possibly made it not keep Strength

so if you chose to keep mon B moveset, which wasn't the clefairy, you would have lost Strength

i don't think there is a way to re-get a move after you lose it with Pinkan Island, so you softlocked yourself out of that story bit

which means that save is now done outside of any other Pokemon you want to catch before possibly taking that save into NG+

Fixing Randomized Trainers Always Staying the Same Type

1. Must be on 6.4.6+ for this to work. If you aren't on 6.4.6+, update your game and reshuffle your settings. If you don't know how to reshuffle, type: ?tag reshuffle

2. You need to go to the Pokémon center, talk to help man and select fix game. Must be done AFTER updating on 6.4.6+

3. You need to enter any gym and exit. Weird I know, but the dev put in a fix for that bug at entrances to gyms.

Hi I have a game error that nobody talked about (or I didn't see a post on it and I don't know why but I can't create a post in #1142871804269052004 ).
I was playing the windows version that I got from the discord link. I am doing a run with the randomizer especially for the objects given by the npc that I randomized. When applying for a job at the team rocket hideout in Celadon the first quest is to catch 3 pokemon with the rocket ball. When you fight your rival, if you lose, upon re-entering the room the battle will start again on the teleport tile
Then, even if you win, if you lose against Giovanni and come back, you have to fight your rival AGAIN

Hi there. I'm playing PIF on my macOS using Whisky setup and i noticed that there's huge performance drop while diving. The only way to somewhat handle moving around while diving is to save while in the location and then load the game. So far I haven't found any type of solution for this issue.

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions 6.4.2 and below.

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Open the settings tab
2. Click "Reset Config"
3. Re-update
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher1.1.1/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion

Wondering what the different game files are?

• Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
• Game-performance.exe is the lighter version of the game required to make it work on slower computers. It has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart. For new sprites, monthly sprite-packs must be downloaded manually.
