When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

So, I just started a new game with the latest version, and talked to the help man in the first pokémon center, and checked all options out of curiosity, without actually using any of them, and now my save file says it's been randomized in the title screen, but the encounters are still the same as original.
Is there any possible fix? I was content with the nature and stats of my starter and hope not to need to start over 🥲
I attempted to search myself for a fix to not bother you support people, but I am unsure if I am in the right track, and also, I guess further publicly explaining my attempts at inspecting my save file are not allowed as per the server rules in order to not encourage hacking 🥲🥲🥲

Just looking at the Randomization options puts you as randomized, locking you out of being able to get the Magic Boots and Debug.

The game gives you a big red warning that looking at them will flag your save.

So no, there’s no “fix” because you were warned that it would happen. If you haven’t played much since, you may be able to revert a backup save

Me and a friend of mine have been trying to run a randomized nuzlocke and we checked off randomize static encounters and gift pokemon but the game still gives us luvdisk at the shop, magicarp from the scam artist etc, anyone know why the settings might not be working properly?

And Rockruff / Wynaut etc from eggs but im not sure eggs fall under any randomization rules

likely it misallocated the sprite - making it re-select every time you used it in anything.
we've had something like that in the past.

the fix then was to just go into alts, forcibly select a sprite, done

How to Update (WINDOWS)

• If you're on or above 6.4.3, double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.4.3 you must redownload and install in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs). Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If you are on a randomized save, make sure to rerandomize your settings after an update. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon. If you have more options, reshuffle each.

Hey @strong wind! Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching all unfused 501 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-501). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.

Okay so I am doing the team rocket side quest where I'm on the island and each time where I got near the Rhyhorn fusion near the grass it says go to pokemon center to reshuffle randomizer or it'll crash. Here are the logs for each. this is a randomized run. I get set back to my save before I get on the boat.

Hey @inner ocean! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

I'm not sure what's happening; but the 'Mode' part of the save file seems to be shifting around and I can't tell the reasoning behind why it's changing. I have another Remix mode save that lists it as "Random" but for both sizes it seems to still be 'Remix mode" when actually playing.

For this one; I ended up just taking the normal Kanto starters and nothing else was changed but my first save was listed as classic. I went and saved in Viridian Forest and found it was listed as Remix. The encounters have been remix from what I can tell so it just seems like the save text is messing up

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Which is an entirely separate issue from the one I initially reached out on, which was a long black screen, and then the game freezing more when the opening cutscene starts up when you launch the game, and then MORE when the first two pokemon pop up on the actual menu where they slide across the screen and fuse until you hit a button to actually start things. The launch process of the game was suddenly taking a good 5-10 minutes.

The game ran, launched, loaded perfectly fine until the last update that came out. The game has run perfectly on my system for years. I've played through multiple game launchers at this point, to give some time context. There was never an issue until the last update that came out. and I don't mean the april fools one. I mean the one towards the end of last month. Now, all of a sudden, all of these issues start popping up to the point where I now actually can't play the game at all. Fixing Randomized Trainers Always Staying the Same Type

1. Must be on 6.4.6+ for this to work. If you aren't on 6.4.6+, update your game and reshuffle your settings. If you don't know how to reshuffle, type: ?tag reshuffle

2. You need to go to the Pokémon center, talk to help man and select fix game. Must be done AFTER updating on 6.4.6+

3. You need to enter any gym and exit. Weird I know, but the dev put in a fix for that bug at entrances to gyms.

Fixing Randomized Trainers Always Staying the Same Type

1. Must be on 6.4.6+ for this to work. If you aren't on 6.4.6+, update your game and reshuffle your settings. If you don't know how to reshuffle, type: ?tag reshuffle

2. You need to go to the Pokémon center, talk to help man and select fix game. Must be done AFTER updating on 6.4.6+

3. You need to enter any gym and exit. Weird I know, but the dev put in a fix for that bug at entrances to gyms.

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it
