this is an issue with your device and joiplay. Only thing you can try to do is optimize the maps. If you long tap the game in joiplay, you get an optimize maps option

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

hey I'm currently trying to reroll the Eevee from the quest in Celadon and when I load my save file (walking with the Eevee, just outside of the room to turn in the quest) it opens up fine, but then once I check to see if I got what I was looking for, didn't get it, then go back to the title screen and load the game again, I get this error. Closing and re-opening the game lets me load the save file once, but then it happens again

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.

Question, I got JoiPlay working. I am using an Anbernic handheld. And it works great. (Using the on screen keyboard). How do I bind specifically the D Pad using JoiPlay? I’ve bound every other key, but on JoiPlay I cannot bind arrows at all in gamepad. Only WASD. Is there a way to either bind Arrows, or Set in game controls to use WASD?

The Anbernic D-Pad can be bound to whatever keyboard keys I set it to. I tried to bind them to WASD but apparently only arrow keys control the game. Unfortunately, in Joiplays gamepad settings you can set almost any key. Just not arrow keys.

F1 brings up the window for Keybinds. If your computer is not loading up the keybinds pop up, then probably looks frozen but instead it is because the focus is on the keybinds window and not your game

Yes I did. I’m at the controls step. The problem I have been having is that at Step 4, it tells me to set DPad_Up to d pad up. It does not give me that option. The only options it gives me are traditional keyboard keys

And that’s the same for any of the d pad options. It also does not give me the option for arrow keys so I can’t even bind arrow keys.

Running Android version on a Retroid Pocket 5. Initially had a few stutters but nothing too bad. Every time I launch the game I am having increasingly slow responses, up to sometimes a full 2 seconds between button presses registering. Leaving buildings takes several seconds to load the map. Is this common on the Android version in general? Are there any recommendations?

Also: can saves be moved from the windows version to the Android version, or are they incompatible?

I have TM's randomized, and gym types randomized, so a Dark-type Brock just gave me a regular Rock Tomb TM, as per usual. Does the Randomized TM feature override the, afaik, Type specific TM's you'd gain from even Randomized Gym Types? And if so, does it not affect Gym TM's?

1. It is in a onedrive folder. it is recommend to have the folder in C:\Users\Your name\Downloads because onedrive doesnt sync and break files in that location

2. In #downloads we mention not to update old old versions of the game. You did. That is why it doesn't work. You need to download again and reinstall. This doesn't affect your save

Let me know when you do that. The launcher is going to give you an error because it doesn't know where you moved it to. So I can help with that

Ok cool. So it isn’t a file issue. But an issue with your anti virus.

The reason the play button takes a while to appear is because it is interfering with the launcher. The launcher when it opens checks that path to see if the game files are still there.

If it does, the play button appears

If you want less hassle tbh, you can open the game folder and double click Game to play.

so im win10 and my gf is win11, the game was super easy to get working for me, but hers is asking me to rename the folder but the name is already spelled exactly

Hi I'm playing hard, randomized mode, with expert from the fix man and I have a game crashing bug. On route 24 when talking and battling the 3rd trainer on the bridge for the first time, I receive the following open window message and the game closes. I have tried to go to the Help man and fix game in the Cerulean City Pokemon Center, but I still get the same error.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Yeah it is possible. Also more mons you have, the more the game is caching them in the pc. Also some maps we found trying to find music and files that don’t exist so the game lags checking

Yeah that is most likely internet

Could be graphics driver related since it couldn’t render the sprite fast enough somehow but leaning more towards internet
