Hello... I'm trying to update my game for Steam Deck. I'm having the exact same issue as this Reddit post.
I was able to update the files, I went back to game mode, I hit play, it spins for a few minutes... then boots me back to the Infinite Fusion page.

If you are having sudden performance issues out of nowhere, restart your computer (no joke). Don’t shut down the computer as it just puts it to sleep. Use the restart option to free up processes on your computer.

That means your phone did not extract the game properly. Only thing you can do is delete the files that extracted and try extracting again. Make sure to use the RAR app to extract like I mentioned in our Google doc guide

Git has locked your game folder from updating. To fix:

  1. Open your game folder.
  2. Enable the setting to view hidden files. Screenshot below shows how to see that.
  3. Delete the .git folder you will see in your folder now
  4. Delete your Data folder (This will reset your game data, but it will keep your save data)
  5. Update Again by double clicking on INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat
  6. Double click Game to open the game.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

If you did download from a fake site, go through these steps:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

the only fusion you have is Sunkey, and our sprites in your party and pc box are just half and half. So they look kinda weird, but your screenshot looks normal

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
  4. If your save slot was A, go to the File A folder
  5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
  6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed
    Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter instead on step 6.

Hi! This never happened in my previous playthroughs, but said I should report the glitch. I was in Viridian Forest and stepped where a mushroom is/was and was stuck there, so had to use the debug to escape. Again, I've been in there many times before without this problem. Hey @velvet scaffold! Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching all unfused 501 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-501). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.

If you did download from a fake site, go through these steps:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there

this is just me reporting a bug. Hikers can be duplicated if you have your settings set to double battle, and you run into one in a situation where you would normally have a double battle

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
  2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

make sure to use our files, and nothing else. do not go and download anything else yourself, also nothing joiplay related.

To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

  • Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

  • Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.
