Regarding the RG353P:

Found a way, you have to Change the Gamepad inputs, let them generate by pressing all the buttons, if you exit out by accident, just head back and continue. after you're done registering every button, close PIF and reopen.
THEN you can successfully change the Key binds, and the important ones are:

First Button = X -> D
Second Button = Y -> Q
Fourth Button = A -> C
Fifth Button = B -> X

I did try updating it before I came to #tech-support to see if that would fix it, it did not. I strictly freshly installed the PifLauncher zip, extracted, and created the shortcut, linked the folder then proceeded to try to run the game. That window popped up so I tried relinking and updating and neither helped. If it's something in my computer blocking it then do you think running as administrator would help circumvent that?

Doing a fresh extraction on the zip file and keeping it within my C drive fixed the issue and it's working again. Still unsure why my External Drive wasn't letting the program run though, I had an older version of the game that ran just fine on there. Anyway thanks so much for the help!

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Hey, I'm having a weird bug on android. Played up to Cerulean city with no issues, but suddenly every single trainer had only ghost types. I noticed it at first when the normal type specialist had no normal types at all... and then I battled 3 more trainers, all only had ghost types. Fixing Randomized Trainers Always Staying the Same Type

1. Must be on 6.4.6 for this to work. If you aren't on 6.4.6, update your game and reshuffle your settings. If you don't know how to reshuffle, type: ?tag reshuffle

2. You need to go to the Pokémon center, talk to help man and select fix game. Must be done AFTER updating on 6.4.6

3. You need to enter any gym and exit. Weird I know, but the dev put in a fix for that bug at entrances to gyms.

Wondering what the different game files are?

• Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
• Game-performance.exe is the lighter version of the game required to make it work on slower computers. It has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart. For new sprites, monthly sprite-packs must be downloaded manually.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
4. If your save slot was A, go to the File A folder
5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed

all you do is download, and extract and you have the updated game
