@blazing python I redownloaded the alternate download you sent to me and replaced the files in the folder and even emptied the recycle bin and the update.bat still removes files. I will have to redownload alternate download when there are major updates.

im confused why you moved files around though. When you use the alt download, that is your new folder. You dont need to replace other files with it

but yes if the updater fails, it errors out and deletes the files cause it is trying to revert the game files to match the game repo but failing due to whatever error you have on the screen

if you want to share your screen when you rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE, I can confirm what error you might be getting

I must say, the idea of the spreadsheet for the sprites is wild. That was an awesome idea. That cut the amount of files significantly, added with the check up on duplicates, that probably make the game run a bit faster

If you did download from a fake site, go through these steps:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and data that the normal game doesn't have.

2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Onedrive causes many issues in and out of the game. If you see a status column in your game folder or your path has onedrive, that means your game folder is synching to OneDrive and will cause many issues.

To Fix:

1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your Downloads folder
2. Delete the .git folder in your game folder. Onedrive will lock this folder and prevent you from updating. If you don't see a .git folder, use the screenshot below to see it.
3. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

sprite packs are only for ppl with no internet or if you want to import specific ones, but either way the game downloads them as you play

importing sprite packs just makes you import 200,000 files and makes your folder larger and slower
