How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
  4. If your save slot was A, go to the File A folder
  5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
  6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed

I tried to launch the game today and got this error. It automatically opened a troubleshooting doc, but the steps referenced adding an exclusion for Downloads/PIFLauncher1.0/, which doesn't exist on my system. I tried adding an exclusion for my linked game directory as well as the directory containing InfiniteFusionApp.exe, but neither worked. I also tried letting InfiniteFusionApp.exe through my firewall with no luck. Any suggestions?

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

If you did download from a fake site, go through these steps:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use megaman's post to download the real files: ➡️ #downloads message ⬅️

Hm, never mind, I found it. I don't get it. There's only like 100 'generated' dex entries? The rest are still showing up as the original algorithm. Git has locked your game folder from updating. To fix:

  1. Open your game folder.
  2. Enable the setting to view hidden files. How to do that
  3. Delete the .git folder you will see in your folder now
  4. Delete your Data folder (This will reset your game data, but it will keep your save data)
  5. Update Again by double clicking on INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat
  6. Double click Game to open the game.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
  2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Wondering what the different game files are?

  • Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
  • Game-performance.exe is the lighter version of the game required to make it work on slower computers. It has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart. For new sprites, monthly sprite-packs must be downloaded manually.

when new sprite packs come out, the game will auto download as long as you have Download Data from in game settings turned on

Ive read the update article:
If you on a version lower than 6.4.1, reinstall in a NEW folder. Don't use your updater, it won't work. Reinstalling doesn't remove or require you to move any Save Files.
If you on 6.4.1 or above and updating to 6.4.5, double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
If you are on a randomized save, make sure to rerandomize your settings after an update. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

  3. Extract it
