Honestly, I didn't bother with it. I'm running Nobara Linux which is pre-configured for Wine gaming so I just unzipped everything into a folder on the desktop and it seemed to run fine (aside of the audio). I was hesitant to go down the bottles path if it wasn't going to be necessary or could undo optimizations Nobara had already made. I'll definitely give bottles a try as that's the recommended installation method.

I have the game on Steam Deck. For a while it was working perfectly fine, but all of a sudden it's having a weird issue: when I start the game, encounter a wild pokemon, or start a trainer battle, the game freezes. However, putting the Steam Deck to sleep and waking it back up unfreezes it.

so i went and did the team rocket quest on pinkan island where you do a heist with team rocket, i collected a bunch of berries got all the TMs except for one berry in the forest which i forgot to collect. i got to the cave at the end of the quest and archie told me i needed one more berry, i found the berry clicked on it and it didn't let me interact with it, now i am softlocked (they take your items before the quest (including the debugger)), i can roam around and catch pokemon but only in pinkan island so if someone can please tell me what to do to escape this island or finish the quest it will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
btw i cant talk to the guy with the wortortle and the team rocket guys at the shore disappeared.

3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
4. If your save slot was A, go to the File A folder

if all of those are false
move the InfiniteFusion folder to your downloads folder and then attempt to run the installer

I updated my game on mac from 6.0.5 to the newest version (6.4.5?) and I'm unable to find my 3 save files from the older version. I am still able to access the save files on the older version but i can't do that from the newer version of the game. The screenshot shows where the save files should be but it only shows the save file from the new version and not the 3 from the old one that i want to move to the new version. help is appreciated

I've gotten the game running in bottles now with significant improvement to audio. I have two more questions.

When I setup the game yesterday I thought it said something about auto saving, but when I start the game today it only has the option to start a new game. Did I imagine that or did I setup something wrong?

When I try to create a desktop shortcut it just circles over and over again between selecting what program to run it (bottles) and then selecting which bottle (infinite fusion). Am I doing something wrong or is it incompatible with having a desktop shortcut?

Yeah, when I run it from wine there's definitely save data I'm just apparently too stupid to find it. These are fedora-based machines (due to Nobara supposedly being the most game-friendly) and all of my prior *nix experience was debian terminals... Not used to a GUI and the according user files, etc.

3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

it is step 1 yes, kinda gotta do a bit of other steps after since you on randomizer and for this specific issue

Since you are on randomizer, you need to reshuffle your settings after updating to 6.4.5. If you dont know how to do that, type ?tag reshuffle

Then you need to go to the Pokémon center, talk to help man and select fix game

Last thing, you need to enter a gym and exit. Weird I know, but the dev put in a fix for that bug at entrances to gyms.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
4. If your save slot was A, go to the File A folder
5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed

Say File A is corrupt. If you open the backups folder, you will see a folder for File A

it will have up to 10 auto saves in it at different points it saved

Move that to where File A.rxdata used to be and rename it to just File A.rxdata and you good

The app is being temporarily taken down for a structural redesign. This update is necessary because the game’s updater (not the app itself) isn’t working correctly in 6.4. Please uninstall the app to prepare for the new installation and update process.

Don’t worry—your game files and saves are completely safe, and there’s no need to transfer anything. The InfiniteFusion folder you installed will remain intact, allowing you to launch the game using Game.exe from that folder.

Trying to edit code to enable cheats will **NOT **work. Magic boots are only available from in game rewards by catching the 501 Base Pokemon.

The only help we will provide to "fix" your issue is to give you the information to delete your game folder and reinstall using the files in #downloads message. This does not affect your save files.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

If you are having sudden performance issues out of nowhere, restart your computer (no joke). Don’t shut down the computer as it just puts it to sleep. Use the restart option to free up processes on your computer.

This has fixed this issue for many people

Also when randomizing, if it is really slow, use Game-performance.exe to open the game instead

Yeah something on their computer is reducing the performance and it can’t keep up. The error is specifically the game not able to load. Also try not to spam on that screen but yeah not much we can do. Maybe the performance tips below will help
