Trying to edit code to enable cheats will **NOT **work. Magic boots are only available from in game rewards by catching the 501 Base Pokemon.

Just passing by to say my thanks to Megaman, the Alt Installer seems to work properly ^^
It took a lot of time 'cause of my Schrödinger's Internet network (and it will still take a bit of time 'cause now I'll have to download the new sprites) but still it's great to have a game up to date ^^

its a permissions issue, which might be caused by you having placed the folder on your desktop.
desktop have pretty strict permissions. which is why we have in the guide to keep the folder in Downloads

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
  4. If your save slot was A, go to the File A folder
  5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
  6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed

Wondering what the different game files are?

  • Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
  • Game-performance.exe is the lighter version of the game required to make it work on slower computers. It has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart. For new sprites, monthly sprite-packs must be downloaded manually.

Heyo Mates i have a problem with the Safari Zone. Sometimes if i open the menu while inside it completley crashes the game to desktop. I had it on a classic run and now i have the same problem in a fresh randomized run. Anyone else has that problem or know how to fix that? 🙂

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

If you did download from a fake site, go through these steps:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use megaman's post to download the real files: ➡️ #downloads message ⬅️

Many fixes were implemented in 6.4.5. Please reupdate your game and then do the following after:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center
  2. Talk to Help Man (usually 2F of Pokemon Center)
  3. Select Fix Game

This will fix many pre 6.4.5 issues.

  • If this did not fix your issue, then you need to delete the Data and Graphics folder in your game folder and update again (this doesn't delete your save), and redo the steps above.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

Importing Your Sprite:

  1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.

Wondering what the different game files are?

  • Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
  • Game-performance.exe is the lighter version of the game required to make it work on slower computers. It has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart. For new sprites, monthly sprite-packs must be downloaded manually.

Trying to edit code to enable cheats will **NOT **work. Magic boots are only available from in game rewards by catching the 501 Base Pokemon.

hi!! i just recently downloaded the game through my mac using one of the lovely members amazing tutorial! everything was running extremely smoothly but now its like unplayably laggy.... i literally have no idea what happened or what i did?? i have no problem starting the game and nothing is laggy until im actually in the game

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

  • If you on a version lower than 6.4.1, reinstall in a NEW folder. Don't use your updater, it won't work due to bugs. Reinstalling doesn't remove or require you to move any Save Files. Use the Lightweight installer to install in a NEW folder ➡️ Click Here⬅️
  • If you on 6.4.1 or higher and updating to the latest version, double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

If you did download from a fake site, go through these steps:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

This message pops up when I try to start the second Rocket mission. I've installed and reinstalled the correct versions of Joiplay and RPGMaker plugin from the guide and have tried redownloading and reinstalling IF. Is this a known problem and is there a fix, or do I just have to avoid the Rocket quests?

SEO is not a super difficult thing to learn + there are tons of specialists if any issues do come up. Even without an optimized site, having a message in the game being like "(url) is the only real site, any other website is fake" will have the same effect as the stuff in the game now does

It's not a sponsored result, they just know how to optimize. Even if the real downloads will be on Discord, having it be on Discord and requiring Discord literacy makes that a lot more inaccessible compared to the guide the fake site has

Does "dig" work the same way as in the main games? I had a pokémon use dig (first to move), but "Scary Face" landed afterwards, as did the attack in the second turn (I moved second due to Scary Face hitting)

Hi guys, i got some odd sprites in my game that just sont show for some pokemons (both fused and regular pokemons) so i was thinking of redownloading the game from scratch.
But no matter what link i click on #downloads i cant find the core game. (I did find the small one for the INSTALL_OR_UPDATE though.)

try a clean install to ensure nothing is wonky with your files:

i.e., delete your infinitefusion folder [your saves will be fine as they are stored separately] (yes even from your recycle bin)

get a fresh download of the zip, extract it as per the guide for your device, run the installer, follow any other stuff your guide may need to you do, and then try again

if the issue persists then something else is going on

Something happened at least, i can now see Crowbat that i couldnt see before, but all fusions are now gone. Talking to the help npc at the 2nd floor of the pokecenter doenst work either.
The Download data is set to "on" atm, and i thought that would be enough, should i try and download the sprites again separately?

Hey @celest swallow! Looking for the Pokéradar? You can obtain it from Professor Oak's Assistant on Route 24, but she only appears after you meet her in the Cerulean Pokécenter.

When you use the Pokéradar, a repel automatically activates and grass will shake. This indicates which tile the Pokémon is in. If you are having issues with the encounters fleeing or need more info, use the Wiki Page: Wiki LINK

coolcool, could just be one of the borked sprites - there are some issues. should only be a handful though.
if you make sure you are on the latest version, and have data downloads in the options turned on, you should have the latest stuff everyone has

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
  2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF
