Hey @native robin! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

Hey @golden anvil! Looking for the Pokéradar? You can obtain it from Professor Oak's Assistant on Route 24, but she only appears after you meet her in the Cerulean Pokécenter.

When you use the Pokéradar, a repel automatically activates and grass will shake. This indicates which tile the Pokémon is in. If you are having issues with the encounters fleeing or need more info, use the Wiki Page: Wiki LINK

Can't download lightweight cause of mediafire error

I may have effed up my save.
I tried to switch over to use the launcher. While I was at it, I figured I would use preloader as well, instead of having manually added the sprites.
So I made a new game folder with the preloader files inside and pointed the launcher to that folder, as the guide told me to.
I used the launcher to update to the latest version. Apparently it updated from 6.2.3 to 6.3.4.
Now whenever I scroll down through my bag in Key Items, I get this error and it shuts down. Everything else seems to work fine.
I've tried started the game, saved it on another slot, restarted the game and loaded the new slot. No change.
As far as I can tell, it's a pretty non-descript error. Any chance of recovering my save? I've played it for a week and would be very sad to start over.

it has everything setup for you already. You delete what you have now and just use the zip I provide in the google doc as your game folder (this doesnt delete your save)

Hey @agile jetty! You can press F1 (FN + F1 on laptops) to change your keybindings!

Be aware, remapping controllers does not work outside of Xbox Controllers. You need to use a 3rd party app like Steam or JoyToKey to remap your controller to keyboard presses.

Having gone over the files after I realized the wiki was not official, I am confident that there is no malware involved. Could I be wrong? Sure.

But it's far more likely that the wiki just threw up a DL because people on the wiki will be wanting to access the game, than that files that I have (as much as is possible) verified are clean are, in fact, not clean. And even if they weren't, the damage would already be done. The files have been on my PC for well over 24 hours.
