Hey @kindred kernel! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

the game was never made for phobile, we've noted quite a few people have had issues with the game as of 6.2.3 or higher

So a buddy of mine and I are having a weird issue. I can download the game, through the app launcher thingy, and it will load 162k sprites... but when he does it, he only gets 154k. We've downloaded the launcher through more than one place, including me downloading it and putting it in my gdrive for him to get, but nothing seems to change that. Does anyone know why I can download more sprites than him? Because we started a new nuzlock run side by side, and two of his starter choices were just question marks.

I am still having issues with this error/crash when in debug mode. It doesn't always happen, just on some mons. I tried what was suggested in the topic I made in bug reports but it did not work. I don't know what is causing it or what to do other than not be in debug unless I need to.

This is also the first time the double sprite thing happened with this error.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

and why is debug actually trying to pull from the repo, if you have all your sprites downloaded offline, there should be no reason to try and pull them from online (dont understand why debug even needs to do that if the base game itself already has everything or is allowed to "download online" fom the settings.

No worries. Figured it out. Turns out, it just needs to take a while to load and my impatient self wasn't giving the game enough time to load in the battle.

Still takes a long time to load into the gym battles though (approx 1.5-2 minutes). Don't know why.

I am trying to do a modified randomized run. I have it as fusion cannot appear in the wild and gym leaders/trainers are not random. These settings are being ignored, and I have to fight a gym leader with random mons and I get random, wild fused encounters.

Hey @faint flume! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

Question. 6.4.2 latest edition. I have the full preloaded version working on my android. Full edition. All 400k files. Works like a charm in Joiplay. Even sprites. Only issue is the tilesets looking weird, I know you're supposed to optimize maps in joiplay but there's 855 maps and my fast asl phone crashes at 201/855 every time , and I don't have access to a computer. Is there anybody with a folder named patch that has the 855 optimized maps needed for tilesets to look ok? If not it's fine but I simply can't optimize them w my phone but I have everything else working and I'm 99% close to having it fully working so if someone has the optimized maps that would be amazing. Just trying to get the android optimized maps onto my already 99% working 6.4.2 pc version w all sprites that's currently on my android 😭 sorry if my questions seem dumb lol I know I'm not supposed to use the pc version w all sprites (400k+ files) on am android but it unzipped in a decent time and works flawlessly only problem is since it's the pc version lightweight, the maps aren't already optimized like they are in the android version... hence my question about replacing the 855 .rxdatas in the pc version with the ones from android since they're already preoptimized but I figured it wasn't that simple lol

Game works fine on my Anbernic, pc version w all sprites and all, tilesets just look godawful bc of no map optimization lol

Got the pc version w all sprites working w little to no load times on my Anbernic RG405V, plus I copied the patch folder with the optimized emulation files to my install so now maps look perfect! 😎 all set, can play offline and everything w full sprites, thanks for the help and bouncing ideas

Be aware, remapping controllers does not work outside of Xbox Controllers. You need to use a 3rd party app like Steam or JoyToKey to remap your controller to keyboard presses.

Yes. It was turned off on my previous installation. It wasn't a custom sprite before for Noieon it was just one of the automatically generated ones
