• HotSpot/Mobile Data doesn't count.

How to Reset your Sprite Pull:

1. Open your menu in game and select Options.
2. Go to the option named Download Spritesand turn it OFF.
3. Leave the menu by pressing Enter on Confirm at the bottom or pressing B (if you don't, this won't work).
4. Open options again and turn Download Sprites back ON.
5. Save your game and close it.
6. Reopen the game and your sprites should appear.

Any new game update, you need to rerandomize the settings you have enabled.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This is done in the Pokemon Center -> Update Man (guy in black suit) -> Click Advanced Settings -> You will see the Reshuffle options

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.

That is the game from the repo. Only downside is it comes with no updater. If you want to add it, you can use the zip from #downloads and copy the lightweight installer into the zip I provided.

yeah the update completely changed the character sprites and how it is put together so it just needs to reset the animation. Holding shift and going into a building will also work as well

FWIW if this helps anyone I ended up fixing this just now by re-installing my graphics drivers. I think I didn't have enough storage space when I tried to download the drivers initially so corrupted the install. I was starting to notice major issues with all software.

Git has locked your game folder from updating. To fix:

1. Open your game folder.
2. Enable the setting to view hidden files. How to do that
3. Delete the .git folder you will see in your folder now
4. Delete your Data folder (This will reset your game data, but it will keep your save data)

6. Double click Game to open the game.

Looking for help installing Infinite Fusion on a Steamdeck. I've following the tutorial given (https://youtu.be/LRzdEYJsRhU?si=z7wAeVsMZFFJjpQz) but when I get to minute 1:42 in the tutorial it instructs the user to open .exe files. The latest verison of Infinite Fusion is a .bat file. I am unable to open .bat on the Steamdeck. From what I can tell you can use q4wine or Proton to open it but I can't figure out how to do that. "Open with" doesn't seem to do anything but open the program q4wine and Proton.

Yeah no, if it doesn't have access to that folder jt will not install. You can try running the app as administrator, or add that folder to antivirus exclusions.

Another thing you can try is to set the folder to a location in your downloads folder; as that often has more relaxed permissions.

Does anyone know if the binary executable Game.exe still corresponds to an official mkxp-z release, and if yes, which one? When the game was originally forked from essentials, Game.exe simply was a renamed Windows binary release of mkxp-z 2.2.0, but since then the binary was changed in 5 commits (75569da, 7cd9760, a0aea8f, ba7ee9b, d3662c3 https://github.com/infinitefusion/infinitefusion-e18/commits/main/Game.exe) of which no one really describes what was changed in the binary.

I assume it is just a newer version then 2.2.0, but I could also imagine that it is a custom build with project specific alterations. Because it is the easiest to get to run, I tried 2.4.2 with which the game actually starts, but it it crashes pretty quickly with typical "wrong version" errors. I also wanted to try 2.2.0 since this is the latest version that seems to be officially mentioned, but it is a bit annoying to get to build/run due to good ol' cmake shenanigans. So before I spend a whole week trying out 20 different mkxp-z versions, I wanted to ask if anyone knows which version is used or if maybe no offical release is used at all but some custom build 😄

yeah since the game is developed for Windows only, there aren't optimizations for other platforms. Wine is just a workaround to get it to work and the performance it related to your device and Wine compatibility. I know Wine on Linux also varies depending which version of Wine you install on your device.

Hey @shrewd loom! Do you need to install sprites? No. The game by default install sprites as you encounter Pokemon over the internet. No need to install anything.

Why do we have sprite packs? If you have unstable internet, you can use the sprite packs to install them manually using this Guide.

You probably are trying to map the controls based on normal pokemon games, but this game uses different buttons

Modifying in game keybindings doesn't seem to change anything. The problem appears to be with the Steamdeck layouts.

you have to change your controller layout on your steam deck, not from in game to make it work

this game runs on an old engine so controller remapping is not supported

Hey @wintry patrol! This game is developed ONLY for Windows. Joiplay is a workaround to get Android to work, but iOS will not work.

Check our Official Android guide HERE. If you didn't follow this guide, DELETE and UNINSTALL everything.

All Android bugs/workarounds are in the guide. If your issue isn't listed, there's no fix. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

If you want to use a controller, close the game, plug in your controller to your PC, and then open the Game.

Be aware, pressing F1 to remap controllers will not work. You need to use a 3rd party app like Steam or JoyToKey to remap your controller to keyboard presses. Ex: A button to Accept/Confirm = C Keyboard Key
