Any new game update, you need to rerandomize the settings you have enabled.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This is done in the Pokemon Center -> Update Man (guy in black suit) -> Click Advanced Settings -> You will see the Reshuffle options

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.

Hey @weak cedar! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

I just updated to the new version, and my sprite has become less than appealing to look at. ive visited the "Fix it" man, but it didnt fix the issue.

I chose the F version before the update and everything looked fine, and i can find the file for that version of the sprite for in battles under "POKEMONTRAINER_Leaf" and just "Trainer001" but in game ive got the same base outfit but with the face of a 60 year old man.

Yeah unfortunately seems like your steam deck has the non steam game bug. This one is hard to troubleshoot because only some Steam Decks get this bug.

Try this:

1. Open steam in desktop mode
2. Right click the game, and remove from Steam Library
3. On steam, click the button + Add Game on the bottom left and click Add Non Steam Game
4. Click Browse and navigate to Game.exe and click OK
5. Go back to gaming mode and set compatibility again to Proton GE and try opening the game

Any new game update, you need to rerandomize the settings you have enabled.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This is done in the Pokemon Center -> Update Man (guy in black suit) -> Click Advanced Settings -> You will see the Reshuffle options

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.

4. Delete the data folder (this won't delete your save)

6. Try opening the game again

once they get randomized, they get randomized. Turning it off, just prevents anything not randomized from being randomized.

Any new game update, you need to rerandomize the settings you have enabled.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This is done in the Pokemon Center -> Update Man (guy in black suit) -> Click Advanced Settings -> You will see the Reshuffle options

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.

yeah i figured it was supposed to be a Ralts. seems like after the update running the randomizer refresher on Wild Pokemon will randomize static encounters, even if the setting was turned off at the beginning of the run.

randomizer didnt touch eggs, but some NPCS has a built in thing where it would get you a random number between 1-8 and it would pick any of those combos to make it seem random
