I updated from 6.0 to the latest on my Retroid Pocket 4+ so I did a brand new install just transferred over my saves and updated the sprites manually because I play offline only. It's running incredibly slow and sluggish, is it because it's indexing all the new sprites?

well whenever you import sprites, when you first open the game will you get black screen because the sprites are sorting. not sure what you mean by running slow. Doesn't really describe much for us to help

Yeah, when you install sprouts, it will at least give you a message that hundreds and thousands of sprites were detected. If you didn’t get any of those messages, you probably put it in the wrong folder and explains the lag.

Hey @simple mortar! If you are on version 5.3.1.2 and higher, you can go to your game folder and double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE to update to the latest version.

Noticed it when trying to get an Abra for the Pokeradar quest nearly lost my exp share but I had a save at the start of nugget bridge.

Hey @strong mesa! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

No those are loading tiles. PC experiences these too, but depending on specs; more or less noticeable.
try updating your protonGE version, I remember them getting a lot less noticeable from protonGE9+

So, I'm trying to collect one of all the mons with custom egg sprites, just cause they look neat, but the egg sprites for Caterpie, Weedle, Pidgey, and Rattata don't seem to work.

If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. There is a lot of sprite work that isn’t officially in the game that isn’t intended to be used. The ability to have custom eggs is there but it is just a bonus.

The only "bug" i've found so far involves the pokeflute. When I went to use the pokeflute while on a bike, it dismounts me, however, the game still thinks youre on the bike and will have you zooming around on your feet

If you want to use a controller, close the game, plug in your controller to your PC, and then open the Game.

Be aware, pressing F1 to remap controllers will not work. You need to use a 3rd party app like Steam or JoyToKey to remap your controller to keyboard presses. Ex: A button to Accept/Confirm = C Keyboard Key

when i'm in my pc and swap between my pokemon my game stutters for a second before loading the sprite. This happens with both fused and non-fused pokemon. I'm using the app installer and have all the sprites preloaded. Why does this keep happening and how can I fix it?

Preloaded is already the optimized version of the game. If you still have lag using preloaded, your pc is the only thing left to improve

If you are having sudden performance issues out of nowhere, restart your computer (no joke). Don’t shut down the computer as it just puts it to sleep. Use the restart option to free up processes on your computer.
