that is the loading screen. The duration of the black screen depends on your pc

especially if you just loaded in sprites

yep, all good if you downloaded the installer from there and not a legacy version ... also .. drag the entire game folder into your downloads channel so onedrive doesnt mess up your game and the files

then just run the INSTALL_OR_UPDATE again, directly form your game folder

delete the old game folder and grab a fresh download from #downloads or with megamans app installer ... also make sure it stays in your download folder
this wont affect your save file, its not stored in your game folder

I did not change that sprite. idk what is wrong with it. I am playing on modern/reverse. Though I think anyone playing modern could encounter it. It was in the Pokemon Mansion as a wild encounter.

Wondering if this is a one off happen to crash or if I fun into this gain it will do it again.

Let us know if it fails again. We have found some sprites were actually checked into the sprite repo in the incorrect format causing this crash. So it is a fix that needs to be made on that sprite.

Hey @brittle torrent! Are you having trouble starting the game? If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on your computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the thousands of sprites you imported.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Using our guide, it does give you tips on how to search for save files that you can use the same strategy to find it: Guide

Essentially create a new save file is a weird slot like slot G, and then use Steam Deck's search bar to look where File G was saved. That is your save folder location for your game

For preloaded, you are supposed to move Graphics from the preloaded zip ontop of your InfiniteFusion folder

So I've frequently had a problem where after exiting an interior area or entering certain ones the area the map is black. This example is after exiting the Pokemon League Building not long after the outside Rival fight. If I exit from the Viridian Pokemon Center though, Route 22 loads just fine.

In cases such as these, entering a battle loads the map after the battle finishes.

Hi, wine skins works perfectly fine now, but of course as I go to start the game up noticed the previous savefile from the previous version is Goone. Just one question please, Is there a specific region/address of my mac I could search in order to locate and access the savefile I so desire or are they just gone and I need to start a new one especially considering I have already checked the ingame file save slots all of which completely inaccessible which means it's much more likely for the name of the previous save file to show up in some filearea of my mac rather than me managing to locate any saves in game.

each wineskin wrapper contains your save file. If you created a new wineskin wrapper, than you would have needed to transfer your save file over to the new one

but you didn't mention how you were playing your game prior to wineskin for me to help

Whenever I use the pokeradar, any movement, including rotating, will immediately start an encounter.
This has made it it essentially impossible to catch the rare pokemon since you need to move to the shaky grass.
I don't know why this is happening, but it does so seemingly everywhere. I've turned the game off an on again but that has solved nothing.

launchers are not needed at all, it just made things easier ... but the old launcher broke more and more on every game update and like 3 weeks ago the original ownder changed the code of the launcher so it deletes itself if someone tries to run

tried that again now, enabled debug mode in my A slot, started a new game (expert mode) in B slot, choose my starters, debugged around a bit, maximum IVs, EVs, set shiny .... saved and closed the game, reopened again and no issues

You tried to enable debug mode illegitimately in the scripts, that doesn’t work anymore. Delete the Data folder in the game folder and rerun the INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat file in the game folder

Hey @weak jasper! Are you having trouble starting the game? If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on your computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the thousands of sprites you imported.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

well, you can copy the save file and transfer, but i dont think theres a way to link them together so both get updated simultaneous

cloud save is also possible technically, the issue would be you cant access the file direct from your device since it only pulls from one location

so you would need to access the cloud and download on the device, name it correct and pull it in the correct location
